Holding the documents in one hand, I snap a glimpse of Gabriel who is pacing away from me. How he had faced me seconds ago was way too different from how he showed up to me days after my arrival. He was more composed now, more of himself, just as I've seen and known him. That other side of him days ago when I've bursted all my anger at him, was the side of him that I never expected to see. That other side was the weaker version of him, exposed and susceptible, to the extent of almost begging and pleading for mercy. But I guess, he'd already come to his senses and knocked his head, that's why the normal him came back to life and resurfaced once again.
With all honesty, I already presumed he would do this. Part of me wasn't surprised that he would settle for this and take everything in legal matters. This was his last draw after all. This was his last resort to silence me on my demand regarding our divorce.
