Chapter 81: AWAKENED

My heart was rattling as I gazed quietly at the medical team who were busily attending Gabriel. I could feel it making a rapid succession of short, sharp knocking sounds inside my ribs, which resulted in my hands trembling and my feet sweating bullets. As I anxiously looked ahead of me, I was praying inside my head for any positive outcome of Gabriel's out of the blue movements. 

Even before the doctor's were done examining Gabriel's condition and vitals, the door swiftly flew open and Mr. Levine abruptly came in with sheer anticipation and anxiety as well. Black informed me minutes ago that he told Gabriel's father about his son's sudden improvement, so I am expectant of his return. 

"How's my son? I received a call from my daughter-in-law's bodyguard that he showed signs of consciousness. How was he?"
