Chapter 1: Chapter 1 - Before rebirth (short)
It was a Sunday afternoon, a grown man of a japanese lineage, was walking along the streets of Seoul. Though it might seem like he knows his way around the city, but in truth he was lost.
His goal is to find the meeting place that his long-time friend talked about, but due to some "distractions" he got lost. As to why he's in South Korea is not because of the reason of meeting his only friend who works abroad but because of losing his way and accidentally aboard the wrong plane instead of aboarding the plane to Hawaii
He remembered once when he was still in highschool during a field trip in Kyoto. He was separated from the rest of his classmates and bumped into an American foreigner who was 6 years older than him, after the foreigner heard his habit of getting lost, the foreigner broke into laughter and named him "The real life Zoro" as his skills of getting lost rivaled the fictional Zoro.
At first he was confused who Zoro is, but after the foreigner's initial shock of the fact that the boy isn't anime or manga cultured, even though he lived in a country where the anime characters birthdays are celebrated. The foreigner explained what anime is, who Zoro is, and officially starting his Otaku career.
*~Ring~Ring~Ring~*
He picked up the ringing phone and answered it, the man heard a familiar voice yelled inside the phone
"WHERE DAFUQ ARE YOU!? IT'S ALREADY BEEN TWO AND A HALF HOURS SINCE I GAVE SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW! AND DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME YOU FORGOT SINCE I ONLY TOLD YOU TO GO STRAIGHT FOR A FEW BLOCKS AND THEN TURN LEFT UNTIL YOU SEE AN EATERY"
The man yelled of frustration from the phone causing the japanese man to distance the phone from his ear before his ear drum explode
"I did follow your instructions but I don't see any eatery that you mentioned" He replied calmly
"Then why are you still not here "zoro"? You do KNOW that I can't get you cause I am busy and don't have a lot of free time with my job as a cook in the eatery that I opened here at Seoul, and there is A LOT of customers that are waiting for their food"
Said the man angrily, as he worried about his lost friend getting into accidents which is very likely
"Zoro", knowing how his best friend's worries about him, smiled and reassures "Don't got to worry about me, I'll be fine in fact I think I see your-"
*BEEEEP*
"Zoro" heard the horns of a truck to his right getting louder and louder by each millisecond. He turned towards the sound and saw truck-kun coming at him at a speed where getting out of the way is closely impossible.
"H-HEY WHAT'S HAPPENING!?" from the phone a panicked man heard the horns of a truck getting louder
"Sorry man, guess I'm am getting isekai'd today. But worry not, I assure you that I'll be fine at the other side!" "Zoro" said before the sound of flesh and bones crashing with metal and ground was heard over the phone
"HEY! "ZORO" ANSWER ME MAN! WHAT'S HAPPENING!? YOU ALRIGHT!? THIS BETTER BE A JOKE YOU HEAR ME!? THIS IS NOT FUNNY! "ZORO"! HEY!"
That was he last heard from his best friend before his consciousness is slowly fading from the world and towards the unknown
