We return home to find Corey still tinkering with my car. He's bent under the hood, doing something to the engine, but without any tools, I can't imagine what he's getting done. Alex and I stop beside him. "Dinner." His bandmate lifts the grocery bags. "At your house. Tonight."

"Sweet." Corey stands. "What are we having?"

"You're in charge of steaks. Autumn and I are on salad duty."

"Nice."

"And my friend Savvy is coming," I add.

"Savvy Harris?" Corey's brows pop, delighted by the news.

"You know her?"

The boys look at each other and then back at me like it's a ridiculous thing to ask. The bassist nods with something of a snort. "I think everyone knows who Savvy Harris is."

She'll love hearing that.

"And here you were thinking you couldn't possibly hang out with a girl any hotter than me," I joke. "It must be your lucky night."

Corey smiles, his cheeks turning red. "You are pretty hot."

Alex motions to my car. "What's the diagnosis?"
