Chapter 143: Worried About Abigail's Health

He paced his stride to catch up with his Boss' lady and politely stopped before her, saying, "Excuse me, Miss Abigail. I'm really sorry I was late to prepare your car. Please give me a minute, ma'am. I'll take the car and drive you there." 

"Thanks, Vincent, but you don't have to do that," Abigail replied. "I just want to visit the store on Oracle Street down the block. The place is too close to ride in a car. I can walk there just fine. No need to bother yourself by driving me—"

"Miss Abigail, I apologize if I insist. But I must accompany you. It's an order from Boss Sawyer," Vincent insisted.

Vincent couldn't let her go alone after what had happened to her. Besides, Kian Blake was still out there. That devil man had used his health as an excuse not to stay at the police station for interrogation. There was a possibility he might contact someone to harm Abigail.
