Chapter 56: Chapter 56 - Yan Sui, it's not dark yet...

Meng Ting thought for a moment before saying, "You don't have to worry about me. Under normal circumstances, he's no match for me."

Yan Sui recalled Meng Ting's agility back at the seaside party and raised his eyebrows. He lightly nodded his head and knew that Meng Ting wasn't as easy to bully as he looked. When it came to the time that he needed to defend himself, he wouldn't be soft to anyone.

Just now in the restaurant for example, Meng Ting didn't even try to endure, and he knew where his boundaries lie.

Yan Sui raised his hand to caress Meng Ting's cheek before covering his eyes, and took him in his arms again.

"Go to sleep if you're sleepy, I'll wake you up when we reach there."

"Okay." Meng Ting replied softly, the corner of his mouth raised upwards before he leaned against Yan Sui until he fell asleep.

They didn't go back to the company, instead they drove to the outskirts of the city. After almost two hours of driving, their car finally halted in front of a small village. Yan Ming Ya and Zhao Bing got off from the car first and Yan Sui woke Meng Ting up.

"There's a lot of gardeners here, we come here to take a look."

Yan Sui held Meng Ting's hand while explaining to Yan Ming Ya, but the flowers weren't the thing that he wanted him to see.

Meng Ting was a little blurry at first, but he gradually came back to his senses from the fragrance of the flowers he was smelling.

After negotiating with the gardeners, Meng Ting took a pair of scissors while Yan Sui carried a basket, both of them then headed to the flower field. This village used a floriculture greenhouse as their method to plant flowers and these flowers were mainly sent to flower markets to sell as decorations, rarely would someone use it to make perfume.

Yan Ming Ya was outside chatting with some of the gardeners, Meng Ting was busy picking flowers while Yan Sui followed him silently, he felt a bit dizzy because of the aroma but Meng Ting didn't seem to be affected by it.

He finished picking all the flowers in a jiffy, he went to the other sheds and picked up more from there too. After going back to the tea house where the gardeners usually rested, Meng Ting took the time to bundle up the flowers into three bunches, each for Yan Sui, Yan Ming Ya and Zhao Bing.

"Smell it and tell me if you like it or not?" Meng Ting placed each bunch of flowers on the table in front of them. He sat back down, took a cup of tea and drank it. Yan Sui, Yan Ming Ya and Zhao Bing were stunned for a moment before picking up the flowers in front of him to smell them.

Yan Sui was stunned because he just lost the privilege he had now that he's not the only one Meng Ting had given his flower to. Other than that, Yan Ming Ya and Zhao Bing were stunned because it was the first time in their lives to receive flowers from someone with a special status as Meng Ting was Yan Ming Ya's aunt and the wife of Zhao Bing's boss.

After a few moments, their face stopped showing any signs of surprise or upset.

They each picked up the flowers and sniffed it, then they fell into a brief silence. They're unable to give him constructive criticism because they're not professionals, but Meng Ting only asked them if they liked it or not, so it was much better to judge subjectively.

"I like it." Yan Sui put the flowers back on the table and reached over to take Meng Ting's hand in his.

Meng Ting smiled at him then looked at Yan Ming Ya and Zhao Bing. He already knew what Yan Sui's answer was going to be, but that's not the case with the other two. Meng Ting knew that getting someone who didn't use perfumes to like it was actually quite difficult.

"It smells unique, I can't tell but I think it smells better than the usual floral scent."

Yan Ming Ya had received perfume as a birthday gift before. Although he didn't use it frequently, Yan Ming Ya was not too bad at perfume after all because of all the gatherings he had everyday with various people. As time went by, he learnt how to smell and feel perfume.

Yan Ming Ya nodded after that, "I like it too."

Zhao Bing usually didn't talk much and when Meng Ting looked over at him, he nodded along, "I have the same thought."

He was basically saying that he had the same idea with Yan Ming Ya, so he no longer had to think of anything else to comment. Yan Ming Ya swept a glance at him as he smiled stiffly, drawing his lips together.

Meng Ting shifted his gaze back to Yan Ming Ya and said, "Take the flowers with you, smell them one more time during night time and tomorrow early in the morning, then tell me the answer."

"Okay." Yan Ming Ya responded, he then sniffed at the flowers from time to time.

Yan Sui caressed the scar on Meng Ting's hand, Meng Ting looked back at him, waiting for him to speak.

"We'll stay here overnight." Yan Sui saw that Meng Ting didn't have any objections, he then looked at Zhao Bing, "Send Ming Ya back home first, pick us up tomorrow at noon."

Zhao Bing obviously knew what Yan Sui meant by this and he nodded, Yan Ming Ya had no problem with it too because staying overnight suddenly would cause more inconvenience for him. Plus, he didn't have the hobby of being a light bulb.

Both of them looked at the time and realized it was already three o'clock in the afternoon, and it was at least a two hour drive back to the city, that's why they didn't waste any more time and packed up.

They took the flowers with them when they left, and although Zhao Bing looked emotionless, everyone could tell that he was quite happy to receive flowers from Meng Ting.

Meng Ting looked and asked Yan Sui after they walked out of the tea house, "What are we staying here for?"

The two of them were alone in the tea house and Yan Sui couldn't help himself anymore, he got up and sat at Meng Ting's side, then pulled him into his arms. Yan Sui gently bit Meng Ting's earlobe and grinded on it with his teeth.

Meng Ting endured the ticklish feeling at his ears and didn't dare to move around, he just had some doubts in his mind.

"Yan Sui, it's not even dark yet…." The windows around the teahouse were open and the door was still unlocked, someone could come in at any moment.

When Yan Sui stopped his grinding, Meng Ting thought he was right and he gently patted Yan Sui's back, "Good boy, control yourself a little longer."

But Yan Sui couldn't control himself any longer and he once again took Meng Ting's earlobe in his mouth. The intense feeling brought by the lust made him numb from the top of his head to the tips of his toes in an instant.

However, Meng Ting still didn't dare to move much and his face was flushed red. He was afraid that if he moved around, Yan Sui would just pounce on him and this was not a suitable place for them to be intimate

Yan Sui stopped what he's doing after teasing Meng Ting's earlobe, but he still had Meng Ting trapped in his arms. His eyes were teary like a peach blossom nourished by spring rain, sweet and charming.

Yan Sui's lips went down again, landing on Meng Ting's eyelashes. Meng Ting's cheek was getting redder, and no matter how shy he was, he didn't try rejecting the close contact with Yan Sui.

If Yan Sui didn't care about a specific something, Meng Ting wouldn't care about it too. Whenever Yan Sui did something, although he wouldn't always understand or could help him, he would always accompany him, standing on the same ground with him.

It was tough for Yan Sui to let go of Meng Ting. He wanted to kiss his lips but didn't dare to do so because he was afraid to stop himself after that. Both of their foreheads are touching as Yan Sui's mouth curved upwards.

When Meng Ting opened his eyes, he saw Yan Sui's smile and quietly remained still in his arms. Another moment passed before he asked, "Are you feeling any better?"

Yan Sui's smiles intensified at Meng Ting's questions, and he ruffled his hair. He held the person tightly in his arms as he whispered, "Not enough."

For a man to live till the age of twenty-eight and never fall in love or had any intimate contact with someone, it's not like there wasn't anyone like that in the world, but this was a rare thing to happen among Hai Cheng's rich circle. It's a rather odd existence, but Yan Sui was the proof of it.

It was hard to explain why, except for him being frigid. Gu Lang and a good number of people had said so, even Yan Sui himself also felt the same way, but that was before meeting Meng Ting. Meng Ting misunderstood him and thought Yan Sui was aroused just now.

Yan Sui was a little jealous just now and wanted to take the opportunity to tease Meng Ting. However, instead of punishing Meng Ting, he felt like he was punishing himself, that's why he's not feeling any better.

It's a depressing thing to say, but Yan Sui spoke it with such feeling of warmth, and the ears of Meng Ting, which were already burning so severely, burned even more.

He pondered for a moment before leaning his head against Yan Sui's shoulder and said in a shallow voice, "So…..We're looking for an empty place?" There seemed to be no other solution.

When it comes to spoiling others, Meng Ting is not inferior compared to Yan Sui. Yan Sui still had the thought of restraining himself and control others, while Meng Ting only wanted to give Yan Sui whatever he wanted, and sometimes he deliberately tried to make him happy.

Yan Sui didn't say another word. He just hugged Meng Ting for a little longer before releasing him.

Looking at Meng Ting's reddened ears, he slowly raised his hand and rubbed it. His gaze swept towards the flowers on the table, and he spoke solemnly, "I forgive you today. Next time, you can't give the flowers to anyone except me, okay?"

Meng Ting stayed silent for a long time. Before he could say anything, his cheeks were flaming because he realized he misunderstood the situation, and it was such a vast misunderstanding.

He quickly nodded, "Okay."

Yan Sui smiled and leaned over to kiss his cheeks.

"There's a resort here nearby. We'll stay here for a night."

In the past two months, apart from the honeymoon trip they had, Yan Sui hadn't take Meng Ting out to play. When they managed to have time to go out today, Yan Sui wanted to make sure that Meng Ting was happy.

Meng Ting, who was still embarrassed, nodded.

Yan Sui picked up the flowers and held Meng Ting's hand, "We'll have to ask for directions."

Meng Ting grasped tightly at Yan Sui's hand before nodding.

His shy and embarrassed face was so adorable that Yan Sui wanted to make Meng Ting's misunderstanding came true, but right now, he could only hold his hand. After asking for directions, both of them headed to the resort on foot.

The surrounding was a little hot at this time, but the heat was still tolerable as they walked under the shades with the refreshing wind from the mountain cooling them.

"You guys came from the city?"

A teenager heard them when Yan Sui was asking for directions. He had been following the two and decided to approach them.

His eyes swept over them, but he chose to speak to Yan Sui, perhaps he looked more like a city person than Meng Ting.

"That's right." Yan Sui replied, and he looked at the teenager before asking him, "Why are you not in class?"

The teenage boy frowned and seemed to dislike the subjects, but he still told Yan Sui the truth, "I skipped class."

"School is useless. I want to go to the city to earn money."

Maybe it's because Yan Sui and Meng Ting were outsiders, he was more eager to talk. Even when the two stood there silent, the teenage boy continued, "I want to earn money, so I'll be able to pay for my grandfather's medical bill and give him a good life."

Yan Sui and Meng Ting continued to stay silent, and yet the teenage boy continued, "My parents are divorced, my father left a few years ago, he didn't care about my grandfather or me."

Yan Sui looked at him, and the boy frowned again, "Don't tell me that studying can get me ahead. I don't even know how many times Teacher Lee had mentioned that to me. My grandfather can't wait any longer."

"What's your name?" Meng Ting waved at him. The teenage boy looked at him warily and then glanced at Yan Sui before stepping closer towards them.

"This is the Lee's village. My name is Lee Lan."

"You don't have to pity me," he said, "Just tell me what's the best way to earn the most money in the city."

"If you want to go to the resort with this path, it'll take an hour to reach there, but I know a shortcut, and I'll show you the way," he said, glancing at the sky, "My grandfather said that there's going to be a thunderstorm around half an hour later and there's no shelter nearby."

Lee Lan was a bit intelligent, and his skin was on the slightly darker side. He's someone that looked confident and strong.

"Lead the way."

Yan Sui said, but Lee Lan didn't realize how much this would mean to him and his grandfather.

Lee Lan ran ahead of them after Yan Sui told him so. He found his shortcut and lead them to the resort.

"City people couldn't possibly know the weather here. What weather forecast? They only tell you it's raining when it starts to rain."

Lee Lan's complaints were interesting that he amused Meng Ting.

"Your grandfather is amazing."

"Of course." Lee Lan loved his grandfather very much, and his chest heaved. His happy face made him looked like a kid.

"Does your family grow flowers too?" Meng Ring remembered Yan Sui said that there's a lot of gardeners in this area, Lee Lan's family most likely were one too.

Lee Lan glanced at the flowers on Yan Sui's hand and shook his head slightly, "My grandfather planted those before he fell ill, he stop planting them after that."

"I didn't know how to plant," he said while looking at his hands, "My grandfather didn't want me to learn it, and that's why we rented out all of our lands."

Lee Lan and his grandfather had been living on the money they got from renting out their land. That money was barely enough for them to eat, not to mention that his grandfather could use it to buy medicine. Other than that, his grandfather was looking out for him and wanted to save it for Lee Lan's future.

The three talked along the way to the resort, but Lee Lan's estimation was wrong. When the resort appeared in the distance, it suddenly rained, and Yan Sui took off his jacket and put it over Meng Ting's head, but Meng Ting took it and placed it on Lee Lan's head.

"Your grandfather is ill. You mustn't be ill too."

As he spoke, he took off his jacket and waved at Yan Sui, "Come here."

"Okay," Yan Sui nodded, holding Meng Ting in one hand, and Lee Lan's hand in his other. The three of them ran towards the resort together,

As the rain grew heavier and heavier, it felt like the whole world was in the shower. Their shoes gradually sprouted up a spray of water from the ground. About a kilometer down the road, the three were drenched.

Still, because of Lee Lan, they're only covered in the rain for ten minutes, which was vast compared to thirty minutes.
