Chapter 77: Competition (4)

Stuart looked different. His entire body and the aura he exuded down to his bodily structure was different. He was taller, more handsome and his body was more beefed up than before. He had a scar on his chin and neck. His hair was now a messy wolf cut. He looked like he had a time skip.

"Hand over the flag." he said.

"I already told you... your gonna have to come and get it." I placed all three flags into one hand and with other made the come on sign.

"I warned you..." he put his hands on the floor and got into a runner's stance.

FOOOOOOKKKSSH!

The ground below him crumpled as he shot forward like a rocket with his hands outstretched. He was so fast that I barely had any time to evade. I managed to back away but he moved forward with his hand outstretched.

His right hand reached for my face and I moved it out of the way. As I moved my head out of the way managed to see his hands head for the flags.

That was smart of him. I had to admit it. He was distracting me making me think that he was trying to grab my face.

I moved the flags to my other hand and did a backflip and kicked him in the face while moving back.

I had kicked him some distance away but he charged back at me. I attacked him with punches and kicks but he kept on dodging all my attacks. He was not even trying to fight me.

I would move the flags away anytime he tried snatching and continuously tried hitting him. I was not able to get even one hit in as the man seemed to have perfected ultra instinct.

"Stand still will you?" I said as I aimed a kick for his ribs. I saw him stop in his track which was what I was planning on him doing. I changed the direction of my kick and raised my leg and hit him in the neck. I had managed to pull of a Brazilian kick.

My kick was heavy, fast and decisive. He fell to his knees. His eyes were full of shock as he could not believe what had just happened.

"Here." I said to him as I threw him one of the flags. He looked up at me. I had not been planning on doing this but Stuart's appearance made me change my mind. I slowly removed the shirt that had covering my face and revealed my face.

I smirked at him and watched as his eyes changed slowly from shock and confusion to hate and malice.

"It's a gift, for a weakling like you, since you can't get anything for yourself." I said. I turned and left. As soon as I turned I heard a loud whistle. It was the whistle signalling it was the end of the first round.

I felt a gust of wind coming from behind me, when I turned I was surprised to see the old man that I had taken the flag from holding Stuart's hand just a few centimetres away from my head.

This bastard! This malignant, stubborn fool, This idiotic monkey with no brain cells, this DUCKHEAD! HE DARED TO ATTACK ME WHEN MY BACK WAS TURNED AFTER I HAD SPARED HIM! JUST WHAT WAS GOING ON IN HIS MIND? DID HE NOT KNOW THAT I COULD EASILY KILL HIM?

HE IS DEFINITELY GOING TO GET IT NOW! I HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT MY PLANS TO KILL HIM BUT NOW I WAS DEFINITELY GOING TO.

"Thanks gramps." I said to the old man.

He glanced at me and spoke in the most raspiest voice I have ever heard.

"I am not your gramps." Even Stuart was shocked when he heard the old man's voice.

"How long have you been vaping?" I asked out of curiosity.

The old man let go of Stuart's hand and walked away leaving us to stare at each other.

"Your gonna die by my hands, it might be tomorrow, the day after tomorrow or even a year from now but remember you will die at my hands." I whispered to him.

Stuart furiously gazed at me and looked into my eyes. "The same goes for you." He said. I smiled and patted his shoulders before walking away into the contestants resting room.

I sat down with all the other contestants. I did a quick count and found there to be 68 contestants left. The number of contestants could have been 100 but since I intervened only 75 people had managed to make it through to the next round.

The less people in the competition the faster it would go and the faster that I would get my pocket money. I was going to use that money to build myself a big building with an office and use it as my base of operations for the mercenary group that I was going to create.

I wonder how many people I should get. 25 sounds good but it would be better to have more than that. In case I pissed of any guild or big group I would need man power. I would need 100 people at the very least. And not just any 100 people I would need 100 strong people.

Preferbly elfs, demons and giants.

I opened my notebook and started writing. I wrote for quite a while in my notebook when I heard a raspy voice from behind me.

"That is quite the interesting theory young man." I closed my notebook and took a glance behind me to see the old man who had stopped Stuart's punch standing over me.
