Chapter 29: The Uncrowned King ( 2 )

Just like the cycle of life, the day became night as the sun gave place to the moon.

In Rifton's criminals' sphere of communication, there were only 2 names that surfaced.

Asa and Iphislia.

Their new Boss.

But, every single criminal knew that the real boss was the child that singlehandedly defeated everyone.

The New Uncrowned King of Rifton.

No one knew his face, they just knew his voice and his might.

His might was so eyecatching that Rifton's nobles, including the Royal Family, were trying to find the New Uncrowned King.

After all, Rifton's infrastructure and commercial sphere were all, in a way or another, controlled by the criminals.

The nobles HAD to find the New Uncrowned King.

...

After they finished punching Miraak, Asa and Iphislia stared at the nose-broken Miraak as he sat again.

Suddenly, all his bruises healed more and more rapidly.

It was like they never punched him, to begin with.

"... So? How old are you?" Miraak said curiously as he smiled at Asa and Iphislia.

Tilting their head, they responded, "... If we count the years inside there... We have 31 years..."

They sighed as they finished.

Being 31 years old inside a 10 years old body was way too 'Strange' for them.

Of course, a being thousands upon thousands of years old like Miraak inside a 10 years old body knew exactly how they felt.

Small.

Fragile.

Limited.

It was frustrating.

So Asa and Iphislia kept glared at Miraak.

Clicking his tongue in annoyance, he said, "You're 31 years old and keep acting immature... If you don't understand why I sent you there, it was a failure."

Finally sighing, they retracted their glare.

Since they knew.

They were way stronger than before.

It was as if they were completely different beings.

Although Asa and Iphislia were 31 years old mentally, they felt something from Miraak.

It was as if they were talking with someone even older then them.

Much, Much Older.

"... Here is what gonna happen..." Seeing them finally calming down, Miraak said explaining his plans.

...

As another day started, sunlight shone on the ice-cold building of Rifton.

On a road toward the plaza, at the center of the city, three children with silk cloaks covering everything but their mouths.

Each step they took it was as if something alerted the nearby citizens subconsciously, making them step away from their away.

As their cloaks danced on the wind, they advanced.

...

While Miraak, Asa, and Iphislia were going to the plaza, the City's Captain, Alaion, was working on his office.

Suddenly, his office's door burst open as a man stepped inside, saying, "Captain! We found them!! They are going to the plaza!!"

Standing up, as if he was waiting for it, the Captain didn't even respond as he sprinted through the building.

Every single powerful figure on the city knew that the New Uncrowned King was going to the plaza.

Every major faction on the city moved fast as lightning to the plaza.

...

As Miraak, Asa, and Iphislia arrived at the plaza, they immediately walked to the center.

Staring at the plaza, they knew that soon, that place will become more and more full of people.

While Asa and Iphislia took off their cloaks, Miraak kept still.

Waiting for the event to begin.

Feeling something wrong, the citizens evacuated the plaza in a hurry, leaving behind nothing but dust.

...

The first one to arrive was, of course, the City's Captain, Alaion.

With a beautiful whiteish set of armor and his enchanted one-handed sword, he appeared walking along the road to the center of the plaza.

As his whiteish hair blew on the wind, his blueish stared at one figure.

A child, no less than 10, walking relaxed to the small platform in the center of the plaza.

The child was being escorted by 2 female children.

Turning his gaze toward the female children, Alaion almost took a step backward.

He felt it.

The danger of Death.

It was as if two vipers were waiting for their prey to appear.

He now knew that the male was the Uncrowned King and that the duo was the city's 'boss'.

The second one to arrive was the City's 'Real' King, Vuduin Aeroris, from the City's Royal Family, the Aeroris.

He was the impersonification of luxuriousness.

Exquisite robes are made from white silk.

Enchanted gold jewelry.

He even had a War Paint painted with pure gold around his eyes.

He had something 'indescribable' in his eyes as he stared at Asa and Iphislia, only glancing at Miraak at the start.

The third to arrive was the Merchants group from the Arena.

They were formed by almost all Nobles in the city.

Kieran Virhice was one of the Merchants that came.

He didn't know who this Uncrowed King was, but he was curious.

Seeing three children, he thought that maybe they were lost.

But, as he was about to walk over, he noticed that everyone was staring at the children.

Glaring weirdly at them, he suddenly thought about something, '... Don't tell me...'

Finally standing on the platform, Miraak could see everyone.

Alaion, the City's Captain to the right.

Vuduin Aeroris, the City's 'Real King to the center.

And, finally, the Merchant group to the left.

The pressure he was releasing was enough to make everyone present sweat profusely.

Of course, with all his enchanted items, Vuduin Aeroris just smiled, brushing off Miraak's pressure.

He never bothered to even glance at Miraak.

There was a reason as to why he was so arrogant.

The Snow Elven's Empire Pact.

No Royal Family shall be killed or humiliated, if done so, the Empire's might shall eradicate them.

He had all the Empire backing him up.

Why should he care?

Every previous Uncrowned King made pacts with the current 'Real' Kings.

Although the 'Real' King had almost to none Militar power, the Uncrowned King couldn't touch him or his soldiers so the 'Real' King could still interfere with the Uncrowned King's plans if unchecked.

So, Vuduin Aeroris wanted to finish the pacts.

Of course, with some benefits.

Staring at Asa and Iphislia, Vuduin Aeroris licked his lips.

That's right.

He was a Pedophile.

Elmar Qinyra's, the previous Uncrowned King, his pact was to 'disappear' some children here or there.

Smiling like he already won, Vuduin Aeroris finally glanced at Miraak and said, "... Are you here to do our pacts?"
