'Hmm, not bad. I will get more opportunities once I enter the RWBY trial. I can use it as a less powerful Hyperbolic Time Chamber to do lots of research and collect resources.'
I move to check everything is still functioning despite me being gone for almost a month. I see that almost 1 day passed. From my estimates, I was in the trial for 3 and a half weeks. I decided to check up on Reznov to see his progress.
'Hmm not bad. He has held many rallies and has obtained a rather large following. Hydra has been removed from most of Russia and what little remains are trying to gather information on Godzilla. Hmm, let's see how much longer till the Red Room can be removed. A year and a half. That should work perfectly, we should be fully recovered from our battle against the Covenant by then.'
I move to look at the reports of the former Nuclear powers movements.
'Exactly like I predicted, they are hiding the loss and are spending large amounts of money on finding their WMDs. North Korea is becoming more obvious as they started a purge. Oh well, it makes it easier to take the country later. Shield and Hydra are being very quiet about it but I suppose it's because they are worried about losing such an important weapon.'
I move on to more mundane reports.
'Our operations to wipe out a majority of crime families and take their wealth is progressing as well as it could be given out lack of manpower. The money we got should be enough for Lex to buy Hammer Industries when the time comes. The real value we got is the many corpses for the growing undead army and labor force. If we continue this trajectory we will not meet our target. We will likely get at most 900k. Thank goodness for the Cherubims and Elder Liches, with them charming all the criminals into giving us all their wealth has gone smoothly. I can't be everywhere at once even with my clones.'
The next report is what our enemies have gathered on Team Rocket and Galactic.
'They know that Team Rocket is wiping out crime families all around the world but they haven't found my fake Giovanni. Interpol is the current lead on the Team Rocket situation. They know Team Galactic has attacked many Shield and Hydra bases. Speaking of the base raids we have obtained large quantities of materials and even some examples of tech. Apparently, Shield/Hydra are now in a position where they can't retaliate as they have been ordered to deal with Godzilla. They are stretched thin and have even called in agents from their overseas bases. The current plan they have is to try and consolidate their forces and lure Team Galactic into a trap. A decent plan if basically every movement they make isn't being reported immediately by Monika. At this rate, we can enact Operation Civil War early. Hmm, should I do it early? Cannon is still likely somewhat on track if only by a little bit.'
I look at the time and see I will be late for a meeting if I don't leave right away.
'Crap, I can't be late for this meeting.'
I teleport to a secluded office in LexCorp. Once I arrive I head to Orochimarus lab.
Orochimaru: "Ah Rio, I am glad you could make it. Follow me."
I follow him as we head deeper into his lab to where the Spartan Program is being researched.
Orochimaru: "We have made good progress and I think we will be on time as we are. Though I would like to make it clear we will have no more than maybe 20 Spartans ready for the trap."
Rio: "I understand but I would like to speak to you about possible improvements that can be made after this crisis is over."
Orochimaru: "Do you have more tech to show me? I am willing to look it over but I doubt I will be able to do anything with it until after we deliver the first batch of Spartans."
Rio: "I fully understand but first let me ask if the info I could eventually offer would even help. I can resurrect beings who have a body left. My idea was to resurrect the creators of the original Super Soldier Serum, Dr. Erskine and Howard Stark, and drain them of their knowledge."
Orochimaru stops and has a look of deep thinking.
Orochimaru: "I have seen the research many have done into replicating the tech as well as Shield's records of the original serum and I can say that it is possible what you offer could improve the Spartans. However, I would have to do extensive tests to make sure it works and to further integrate the serum into the program."
Rio: "Like I said earlier we wouldn't actually do what I am talking about for until at least after the Covenant is dealt with. I will likely find the bodies or what remains of them and store them in my inventory for safekeeping. But do you think the serum could really help?"
Orochimaru: "Yes, I suppose it is within reason but the biggest problem is the boosting of personalities. Spartans are supposed to be the elite of the elite and they can't be held back by a faulty personality. It would diminish their combat effectiveness. I am at the very least willing to make a perfected serum separately from the Spartan Program if I find it to be incompatible with it."
Rio: "Excellent. Now have you selected the people you think would be the best Spartans we can get?"
Orochimaru: "I have found a few orphans that I think will fit the bill. I haven't found all 30 slots we have made as the best-case scenario. Again I see us making no more than 20 as the survival rate is expected to be 82-93% depending on how stable we can make the process. Then they will need training before and after. The trainer also needs to be decided."
Rio: "I will find a suitable trainer. As for the training times, how much do you think they will need?"
Orochimaru: "2 months prior and at least 1 month after though I strongly suggest 2 months or more after."
Rio: "Have you begun any trials yet?"
Orochimaru: "No, we aren't at that stage yet. I expect we will begin the first trials in a month or no more than 2 months from now."
Rio: "Next on the list is to have you and Curie decide upon a time when I can get all of the project leaders together for the Mind Overload?"
Orochimaru: "Yes we want next week on Tuesday at 10 am. I asked Lex and he said that would work with him and the other scientists. Though are you sure you should do this? You said it comes with side effects."
Rio: "Yes, I am sure. With my mind temporarily boosted we can hopefully get weeks or months of research done in only 2 hours. The coma I go into afterward is only a minor issue. Lucario will take care of Chrysalis while I am unable to and we have everything else planned in case of almost any emergency."
Orochimaru: "Very well just don't hurt yourself."
Rio: "I will try."
We discuss a few more things before I leave to meet up with Lex to confirm everything is on schedule with their side of the projects.
Lex: "Rio, it's nice to see you again. I assume you are here for the update."
Rio: "Yes, I am also here to confirm with you that next Tuesday at 10 am we will use my skill to hopefully improve the speed of our current research."
Lex: "Next week Tuesday at 10 am will work. Now let me show you to our laboratory."
I follow Lex through the space station over Olympus to labs where they are constantly running tests. Once we arrive I see the other scientists.
Rio: "Has Dr. Octavius not been brought in completely?"
Lex: "No, I send him pieces of the puzzle that we can't deal with but that have no real value to the project overall. He knows he isn't being given the entire puzzle but I have talked to him and he understands that it is a trial to see if he can do the level of work we are doing here."
Rio: "Speaking of your work what is the current situation."
Lex: "I have been able to create a fusion between Arc and Nuclear, but it isn't the most stable currently. We are holding off from using it until I can figure out how to stabilize it properly. Faraday can tell you of his side of the project."
Faraday: "I have managed to recreate the Dark Matter Reactor and can safely say it can be fused with the other energy devices. It is honestly the cleanest energy I think I have come across."
Tails: "I have fully reverse-engineered the Covenants power reactors and I have been working with Faraday to fuse our 2 sides of the project. So far the results have been promising but we haven't got them to work in perfect harmony."
Faraday: "I have been using my knowledge of Sub-Energy to move our process along. At our current rate, I think we would complete our side in 2 months. The entire project will likely be done in less than 6 months give or take a month."
Rio: "Which I am certain you all know that might be too late. That is why we will be holding that joint research session next week."
Faraday: "I know I am usually not one to stop a creator when they are working but I have to ask. Are you sure it is safe? Overclocking a brain like that is very risky and even with your abilities, I fear what could result from doing so."
Rio: "I fully understand your worry and I thank you for your concerns but we need to do this. I would rather suffer some temporary pain than risk us failing and having to defend Earth from a large-scale invasion."
Faraday: "Sigh. I can't stop you but I still ask you to be careful while using this skill of yours. I also suggest using it as sparingly as possible."
Rio: "I will try to avoid using it as I can understand it is likely not a great idea to temporarily boost mind power so irregularly. We will also have Curie there to help me if I am injured after using it."
I am shown the models and research they have done so far and I try to give suggestions before I eventually have to leave.

Authors Note:
Just wanted to show off some things that have been happening in the background and what the other factions are doing. I will make another chapter that is based on the eyes of the others soon. Also, the resurrection of Erskine and Howard would not be using Xerneas as they have bodies that can be obtained for the use of other resurrection methods.
