Chapter 52: Devil in the Snow

Achoo!

Suddenly, he sneezed.

He rubbed his arms and thought, "It's really cold out here. I've already started freezing up. Gotta return to the safe zone before I turn into a popsicle."

He had stepped out of the barrier while chasing after the Demonic Brute. As a result, he was left completely exposed to the harmful elements of the Frostbitten Expanse. 

He had been exposed to it for a minute now, but the chill had already started gnawing at him. No doubt, he would soon get frostbite.

Although he couldn't feel pain since his pain settings were turned off, the discomfort and annoyance that comes with the Frostbite Status Effect would be palpable. He sure as hell wanted to avoid it.

Thus, with hurried strides, he started his journey back to the barrier. 

But luck wasn't on his side.

He was met with misfortune in the middle of his trek.

A literal devil blocked his way.
