"Otherwise, it won't be so easy to get away next time." With that, Xia'er turned around and left.
Shen Fei did not stop him. He just quietly stared at Xia'er with a cold glint in his eyes.
"Humph. What? Are you planning to fight again?" Seeing this, Xia'er stopped and turned around to sneer at Shen Fei.
"I'll remember you for this. I hope you'll be able to keep your cool next time", said Shen Fei indifferently.
"We shall meet again," Xia'er said arrogantly. Then, he left with his head held high.
After Xia'er and the rest left, Shen Fei summoned his Flame Owl, and it appeared on Shen Fei's shoulder immediately.
The Flame Owl's black eyes blinked rapidly, as though it were a little excited. It looked at him with an expression of delight.
"Flame Owl, you haven't been cultivating properly nowadays. Let's start training." Shen Fei patted the Flame Owl's head as though it was a child.
Accoreding to the ancient Chinese philosopher Laozi, Dao is not a name for a thing, but the underlying natural order of the Universe whose ultimate essence is difficult to circumscribe because it is non-conceptual yet evident in one's being of aliveness. In short, Dao is a philosophical concept for how the Universe works.
In xianxia novels, there is a stage called 元婴 (yuán yīng) where your golden core forms a baby-like figure in your lower abdominal area. It's supposed to be a pretty strong stage (sort of an 'in between a breakaing point' before you go toward immortality), and any damage to your 元婴 could cause you to die or fall into depravation (I believe many novels call this demonic cultivation). For now, I shall call this an embryonic soul.
