Chapter 30: Rumors
Beck's POV
This is great. Royals need heirs to stay in their bloodline. If it's anyone who knows how important this is it's Jee, his siblings and his parents. His parents surely won't accept her after that.
"Tank, come in." I say to him
"Yes Becks how may I assist you." he asks
"I need you to send this message to Genn. Follow the directions first and don't leave til you receive an answer." I tell him
"Will do. Should I inform them of my leave?" he asks curiously
"No. This isn't something that is important to notify anyone about." I say back to him
"I will come back soon with your answer, Becks." he says and flies off
He's perfect for this mission, He has no family here and no female. So no one will be looking for him if he doesn't return. And he will be able to get in and out of the formation without anyone noticing. Before the doctor left, he asked me a lot about Violet. I didn't pick up til later when I smelled her scent on him before he left back to Genn. That's when I knew he wanted her. And I will be glad to give her to him.
Isaiah's POV
I went out this morning to see the traps that were set. I wanted to learn more about these bowls, plates, silverware and fish traps. As a chief in waiting I have to decide if I want to take these for trade or keep them for us to benefit from. I check and look at the traps and see in the distance a silhouette of a female. She's under the tree slumped. I wonder if she is okay?
I walk closer and look and it's Violet. She is so pretty, tiny and looks flawless. I would have never thought there would be a beast as beautiful as her. I walk closer and see that she looks really sad. Why would someone so beautiful look so sad?
"Morning. How does a female like you look so sad on a beautiful morning like this?" I ask her
"Oh I didn't notice anyone was near. Do you need this area?" she asks me
She has such a sweet voice. It hurts me to see someone like her upset.
"No I don't need this area, I just wanted to see if you were alright." I say back to her innocently
"Are you hurt?" she asks me
I look down and see a small scratch from the trap I was trying to pick up earlier
"No no, this little thing won't hurt me." I say back to her
I see her get up and grab something from a bag. She walks towards me and I hold my breath. What does she want? She grabs my arm and rubs a plant on my arm. It feels cold and gooey. After she grabs some leaf vine and wraps it around my wound.
"What method is this?" I ask her
"You place this on a wound and it will heal your wound. It should not leave any scars after." she says back to me
How much knowledge does this female have?
"Thank you, I appreciate that. I hope it doesn't leave a scar and if it does it's not a big deal. Thank you for the thought of doing this for me." I say back to her smiling
I look in the distance and see Jee flying above us. Looks like he was watching. I wonder why he is watching instead of just coming down. It's not like we did anything. Does he not trust her? My poor little brother. That beast of his won't let her go. Since he always takes away what I want I will just add fuel to the fire. I walk towards Violet and give her a hug.
"Oh you're welcome." she says back to me and returns the hug
I look up and see the clouds are gone. Looks like he left running.
"I hope things are well for you now Violet. It hurts to see someone as beautiful as you look sad. See you later and thanks again." I say back to her and leave
This is going to be a very interesting evening.
Violet's POV
Everyone has been looking at me weird since the day in the nursery. I know it's a big thing but still.
"Violet there you are, I have been looking for you." Clarise says to me
I see Aries next to her and they sit down next to me.
"Violet don't get upset about what those other females are saying. You are completely right about it. That is just something no one talks about." Aries says to me
"I know but it's starting to get worse. I see other females already wanting to get close to Jee. I honestly feel like he's letting them." I say back to them sadly
"Jee would never. We know he loves you Violet. Did you talk to him about this?" Clarise asks
"Every time I try he leaves and says he has tribe business to take care of and comes home late. I feel wronged but maybe this is for the best." I say back to them sadly.
Maybe I need to leave and find my other potential mates. This one does not look like its going to work.
"Maybe you just need a break from this. Why don't you go for a run?" she asks me and hints to me and looks towards the water
That's right. I can go back to the secret spot for a bit of time to cool off. Maybe Jee needs some space.
"Thanks guys I really needed this." I say back to them
"Before we go back you need to know, a few of them are saying that you can't give birth. I wanted you to know this before you go back there." Clarise says to me
"Is that all?" I ask them concerned
"There is also a rumor that Doctor Ian is another potential mate that you considered during the Blood Moon. If there is anything that Jee may be upset about it would be that." Aries says to me
"That makes no sense. Jee is the only one I have mated with so why would he think that?" I ask upset
"That's just what is going around. Some may say you are fit for him and others may not even care. Just know those are just rumors. You can have kids right?" Aries asks me
"Well I don't know. I haven't had kids so how should I know?" I ask them
"Have Doctor Ian check. I know it sounds like this is not the way or time to ask him to come but he will come for you and you need to know." Aries says
"And if I can't, what happens?" I ask them
"Violet. I have never seen a royal not have heirs." Clarise tells me concerned
"Let's go back. Give it some time. Send word to Glenn and request for Doctor Ian." Aries tells me
"Alright I will." I say back to them and we go back
I don't know why it's that important but I guess "duty calls"
