"Congratulations on the victory, Jake. It was a very exciting game, and you did really well even with those players marking you and not giving you much freedom," Eva said.
"Thank you, Mom. It was indeed a very tough game. My teammates were very nervous, and the New York Knicks players were performing at their best," Jake replied.
Jake didn't want to tell Eva that his teammates had a poor performance in that game. He knew that some things were better left unsaid, even when talking to his mother or friends.
Eva also had a good understanding of basketball after watching Jake play for so many years. She realized that the Los Angeles Lakers players hadn't performed well in that game. Still, she didn't mention it since their team had won.
Eva continued to praise Jake and chat with him for some time. Then, Jake left Eva's room and went to Kate's room. He wanted to talk to his girlfriend and see if she was doing okay after reading the newspapers that day.
Thank you to everyone who is reading the novel, I was going to try to write more chapters this month, but my notebook broke down, luckily I still have my PC to work with, but it takes longer to write the chapters.
If you can, please unlock the chapters with your coins, which helps a lot, if you can't, thank you for reading even with the free passes, if you can, comment and it encourages me to continue writing, thank you.
