Baili Xia had spent the night in the hospital. When she woke up the next day, she felt much more refreshed.

Sir Mu, after all, was no longer young, over seventy. He had stayed overnight with her before returning to the hotel to rest with the protection of his bodyguards.

As he left, he continued advising the undecided Baili Xia, urging her to come home with him.

However, the old man was truly kind to her. He spent the whole night recounting the heroic deeds of her grandfather, with whom he fought alongside, never seeming to tire of the tales.

Even Baili Xia couldn't help but smile when his stories were particularly joyful.

Eventually, Baili Xia fell asleep from exhaustion, and he sat by her bedside, watching her endlessly.

Whenever Baili Xia woke, she could see the pity in his eyes as he watched her.

Despite her urging him to rest, he steadfastly refused to leave.
