Chapter 3: Chaos (1)

Present....

Within five minutes the blaring sound of approaching ambulance pierced through the commotion presently going on within the Zhang villa, some of the butlers and maids kept running back and forth in confusion. The young miss in question laid pale faced on the floor with eyes tightly shut, surrounded by her staff. Two male paramedics rushed through the door wheeling in a stretcher. One of them placed a finger by her neck to check her pulse, while the other paramedic checked both of her eyes with his pen light looking for any signs of brain damage.

Afterwards, each paramedic stood on both end as they lifted her unconscious form onto the stretcher, hurriedly wheeling her out of the Zhang villa into the awaiting ambulance by the door. Once the stretcher had been loaded into the ambulance with the paramedics at the back. The ambulance sped through the wide-open dark gate heading straight towards Shupei Medical, with an entourage of dark luxurious cars following closely behind.

Despite the traffic, the ambulance kept switching from lane to lane, blowing the horn as other cars made room for it to pass by. Within eight minutes, they had arrived at the hospital, the ambulance made a sharp turn to the side of the building were the emergency room was located.

Both paramedics busted out of the ambulance, carefully carrying the stretcher from within and wheeling it towards the entrance of the emergency room. What they met was total chaos. From shouting doctors and exasperated nurses to people screaming and crying in pain. The space was so narrow that they had to shove some people out of the way to pass through.

Some of the people caught a glimpse of the person laying on the stretcher, they began pointing fingers in her direction. One of them spoke saying, "Isn't that Zhang Mi, the heiress to the Zhang dynasty?!"

That was when more people began to whisper, stretching their neck to get a better view of the person that was being wheeled away. There were others that started posting on Beibo about her being hospitalized and in the process also weaving some lies into it.

Outside, the entourage for the Zhang heiress had just pulled up, all four cars blocked the driveway by the entrance to the emergency room, men in corporate black got out from within, heading straight to where their young miss had been wheeled into.

The people inside that was close to the entrance gasped in shock as they saw a bunch of men in black force their way into the already congested place. One of the nurses that was attending to the patients receiving treatment, angrily raised her voice saying, "Stop! You cannot all come in! We have sick people in here that need to be care for!"

None of the men paid her any attention as their thought was heavily focused on reaching their destination.

People kept casting looks their way, some of the visitors pulled out their cell phone to snap pictures of them walking by.

"What do you expect from all those rich folks. They can see there is barely enough space to move one's feet and yet they still barge in like they own the place!"

The upset elderly woman kept lamenting bitterly, but none paid any attention to her, instead they were busy trying to post online how they met the Zhang heiress.

By now, Zhang Mi had been changed into a green hospital gown and placed on a clean plain hospital bed, connected to the vital sign monitor, her straggly lifeless raven hair lay flat against the pillow, tear trickled down the corner of both eyes. Her face grimaced as though in pain, "Feng Duan....Feng Duan...." repeatedly slipped past her bloodless thin lips. Inside the enclosed room was her personal driver Yang Lin and three other guards who stood close by the bed where the young miss lay unconscious.

Pulling back the yellow privacy curtain, a young male doctor in white lab coat walked in, and after checking to see she was okay, he then turned to speak to the others present.

"Who is Miss Zhang's guardian?"

The driver of the young miss spoke, "That would be me."

According to the stipulation regarding the well-being of the Zhang heiress, her driver was temporarily made guardian since the passage of her parents almost a decade ago.

Outside the pulled curtain, some of the other patients and their visitors were trying to get closer to where the young heiress was, if not for the men in black standing guard, they would have ripped the curtain open to get to where she was lying unconscious.

Numerous vans from various news outlet pulled up outside the emergency room, the camera crew followed closely behind respective reporters, flashing light kept going as cameras zoomed in on the commotion that was occurring within the emergency room.

One of the female reporter daringly elbowed through the crowd of people, using the heels of her glossy beige colored shoe, she stepped on the toes of one of the men guarding the resting place of the Zhang heiress, as the man bent down yelping in pain, she took the opportunity to wriggle through. But no sooner had she done so; she felt her lustrous brown hair being violently yanked at. Wincing in pain, she tried to fight against the assailant, but he was too strong for her as he shoved her forcefully to the ground.

The rest of the men standing guard looked on, none offering to help her up.
