Chapter 22: Effect Of Thoughtlessness

Dahlia widened her eyes, her feet tingling in merriment. She sucked in a sharp breath – one that made Harriet's nose crinkle as the woman hadn't brushed her teeth yet, and her mouth smelled like sores of maggots.

"You are welcome," said Harriet, before she towed her eyesight back to the previous standing of that man. A combust of curiosity lurked within the batted lashes of her eyes and a small amount of enquiry elicited from the depth of her mind. This was the first time a person had her intrigued, and it was dually questionable.

Dahlia found that Harriet was lost in thought, and harshly pinched the exposed skin on her thigh, which evoked a whiny purr from the girl.

"You were daydreaming!! A-Are you in love?" Dahlia interrogated. Harriet's eyes roamed towards the right side where her friend was plastered. She gobbled the woman's lips, throwing back her head to her left, and replied,

"Nonsense! Who's in love."
