HADES.
My grandmother looked at me as if a third eye had popped out, I understood her. I had just confessed what was happening to me, I was terrified, I knew what would happen to the people who were around that redhead.
"I always knew your fate would be compromising, Hades." she made a small noise with his teeth. "I never thought you would be the soul mate of a Goddess."
My skin shuddered, Goddess, that word was so short, Atlas is much more than that, the Celtic deities are far below her.
"Are you scared?" I settled onto the bed.
"Son ..." I pat my chest. "My time on this earth is about to end and you have an eternity left."
"Eternity of misery without you, grandma." I kissed her cheek.
"You know what I mean."
My "curse", Atlas is not the only one flawed at the moment, but I am not as sadistic as a little demon.
"Your duty calls." Heloise informed me. "Go take care of that girl."
I approached her and kissed her cheek again, she was my wall that prevented my demons from penetrating and taking over me.
I collided with Luka, who went to his room assigned by my grandmother, he was right around mine, she wanted us all to be together in case there is an emergency, that is, an attack.
Before reaching my room I felt her aroma, she smelled so good, a smell of vanilla mixed with strawberry.
I knocked softly on the door and he agreed to let her in.
"I don't even know why he knocked on my door." I took my seductive stance. "You should be begging me to let you in."
"Close your mouth." He looked at me, surly.
"My sexy mouth?" I smirked.
"Is Eloisa your grandmother?" I flatly change the subject.
My heart stopped beating for a few seconds and my blood turned to ice, I didn't want to talk about it. I felt totally vulnerable and my guard was very, too low.
"Yes, why?" I questioned in a very bad way.
She seemed to understand because she only pursed her lips, I had screwed it up. I shouldn't have been so rough with her, she wasn't to blame for anything.
"I'm sorry I sounded like an idiot." I touched his nose with my finger.
She smiled.
"Don't worry, I shouldn't have asked that."
It is time to open my heart, for her to know my story, be hers and I want this to be the same.
ATLAS.
His eyes changed drastically, there was no longer that characteristic glow in his gaze, it was now gloomy, as if they changed as his feelings.
"No, you're curious." He smiled hurt. "I understand, you can ask whatever you want."
I couldn't dare, it would be very uncomfortable if I asked him about his mother, but that question was eating away at my head.
"What happened to your mother?" I muttered.
He lowered his gaze for a few seconds and laid his head on the pillow, imitated his act and we were both side by side.
"My mom died when I was five years old." I took her hand. "I have very little recollection of her, but my ability helps me a lot in that.
"How did she die?" I hit myself mentally.
"They attacked us." He sighed. "Vampires."
I knew immediately, the darkness in his eyes, his rage. He belonged to the vampires, so he felt that there was something strange about him, nor is he a simple medium.
"Mom died, I ran away."
"And your father?" I questioned again, berating myself.
"He's a sperm donor, he left us, he barely knew my mother was pregnant." He clenched his jaw resentfully.
"I'm sorry." I caressed her hand.
"Don't worry, I'm better off without him." I smile. "My grandmother is everything to me, you know ... she raised me and cared about my well-being."
"That's very cute." I smiled genuinely. "I never felt the love of my grandmother, it's good to know that not all of them are bastards."
Hades laughed, the sides of his eyes making very tender lines. He had perfect teeth, his sea blue eyes were so intense.
"Don't get carried away by what it looks like." He stopped and stared at me. "She loves you, Atlas." But he is afraid.
My stomach started to hurt.
"Why am I bad?" I questioned, hurt.
"You're not bad," she smiled. "You're a Deity."
My breath hitched, I almost choked on my own saliva. Deity, I never believed that I could be one, I always felt despised by my Gods, but no. I was compensated, they gave me these gifts to face something worse than me, my whole curse is nothing more than a simple blessing.
People have taken it upon themselves to make me feel like shit, an abomination. I never was, never will be.
"What else do you know, Greek God?" He smiled at the nickname. "I know you hide a lot of things."
Hades raised an eyebrow, challenging me with his gaze, I was predisposed to do whatever he asked of me, I need to know the whole truth, I need to know things about Raziel and me.
"I'm not Wikipedia," he muttered under his breath. "I don't have the complete information. I know things, but they are secrets. I am a secret."
I got up quickly, walking around the room, I was upset, how do you think of revealing things like that and then leaving the bomb in the middle? I came here for answers, I'm not getting any and I'm starting to get frustrated.
"You can trust me, Hades." I smiled manipulatively. "I need to know about my brother."
"How are you so sure that the bad guy is your brother?" he questioned me again, throwing a bucket of cold water on me.
"What?" I muttered, stunned.
"Everyone thinks the bad guy here is Raziel." He smirked. "Why? Why was he left at their mercy with a month to live? Why did he have to find himself alone, know what it was, and control himself, for not having had a fun childhood? Tell me, Atlas. Does that make you bad?"
"No ... I don't know," I said off guard.
Where did you want to go? Why was he saying these things to me? Everything fell with ice water on me, my thoughts were more and more confused.
"He's not the only one with a tough childhood." He narrowed his eyes. "There's a person around you who's even more disturbed than Raziel."
"Who?"
"I'm a secret."
He left.
Leaving me with a thousand doubts in my head.
