"Sir!" One of the guards marched into the office looking flustered,
"What?" Chase glared,
"Mr. Wiles, your uncle is here with Ms. Smith." He stammered.
'Perfect timing.' Chase crossed his hands.
"Why did you let him inside?" Chase looked at the monitor showing the CCTV footage.
"He-"
Lucas barged into the room with Francesca by his side.
"All of you, get out." Chase ordered.
Michael and the guard ran off the room.
"So, how is my dear nephew doing so far?" Lucas arranged his tuxedo,
"Just fine. Still doing some research." Chase sat back.
"I think we need to discuss some important matters, Chase." Lucas said, sternly.
"There's nothing to discuss here." Chase smirked like he was kidding,
"Oh, but there is. I remember what you said clearly about the deal. Pretty ironic." Lucas smiled threateningly,
"I'm glad you remembered. I didn't sign the deal and Ms. Smith here, is free to have a boyfriend or two. I don't care either way." Chase said flatly.
Lucas was surprised.
He was quite sure Chase was always easy to be bossed around.
But the way his face looked and his tone was pretty different from the last time.
"You can't just go around saying the deal is off. My daddy would be really upset if he hears about this." Francesca smirked, smugly.
Chase always hated how she acts.
When they used to date each other, Francesca would go around complaining over silly things.
She would be upset if the diamond on the ring isn't big enough, or cut in a perfect way.
She'd throw a tantrum if the food is not what she had liked.
She'd even demand about her allowance for shopping.
Once, she'd even found a cute guy in a party and brought him home.
"Just tell him to get another deal." Chase rolled his eyes,
"No! My daddy is one of the most successful man in this city. Breaking the deal would give your company a mess!" Francesca bragged.
"Really?" Chase said, looking at Francesca coldly.
"I am the CEO of the Snapdragon Technology. My name and company is all over the world. A mere businessman in this tiny city is just an ant to me. In case you've forgotten, I wouldn't be coming back here if it weren't for breaking this stupid deal." He said.
Francesca shook, stepping back.
'He's different right now.' She dug her nails into her palms.
Even Lucas was as shocked as her.
"If there's nothing else, get lost. You've wasted almost thirty minutes of my precious time." Chase snapped,
"Oh no, we're not getting out of here till you change your mind! I am your uncle, you listen to me!" Lucas growled.
