Chapter 41: Not For Forgetting

The dwarf (Sitra) was lighting incense to perfume the air of the room, thinking that her witch lady did not tell her that she was in a private call session, so why was she sitting frozen eyesight?

She approached her and asked:

"Ma'am, are you okay?"

Delgis was now seeing the world with different eyes.

The scene of the room was slowly changing, the walls and the corners the same, but the material of the walls was different, as well as the furnishings, and there was no ceiling, the sky was clear, and there was no floor, the visitors to the temple below were clear. "There's something mysterious going on," she said in a shaky voice. "Don't come close."

But Sitra, frightened for her mistress, drew near, and tried to touch her, and, feeling as if an invisible ghost, roared at her, and suddenly felt mighty energy snatched her from her place, and slammed her in the room's door, she cried, and fell, trembling with terror and pain, and watched her mistress in terror.

Delgis was frozen on her sofa, noticing that everything had changed.

The walls and the door are the same. Still, gradually an imaginary line passes over everything, so the material and colours change, to more glossy materials, and more brilliant colours and the simple furnishings and furniture disappear, to turn into the furniture of an unknown type.

The dreadful imaginary line passed over Sitra, and softly and simply erased her from existence, as if it were an eraser, until the change was over, and she felt that she was in another place entirely, without a ceiling or floor, but her couch on some hidden ground, and at the end of the room there was a throne upon which a majestic woman sat.

When a woman spoke, strands of light emitted from her jaws, like fine hairs, perhaps because she spoke all her words in the sacred Nazma language.

A woman with a beautiful tall body, wearing an elegant dress. And a head without skin or flesh, just a skull.

"Goddess Burkhish?" said Delgis, panting in excitable voice.

She said to her, "Yes, Delgis. I am her."

She got up from her throne and approached her. Delgis fell to the ground while prostrating in confusion, and her confusion increased because she prostrated on nothing and the people under her were moving, far away, not feeling her. The goddess ordered her to get up, and said to her: "I know that you sanctify the goddess Ama the Lady of Fertility more, so you live above her holy temple, but I also have a holy place that I warn you not to touch."

Burkhich turned around, moving the jaws of her skull in her head as she spoke: "I have consulted the Naked Goddess, the daughter of the Lady of Fertility, and I am now Ama's envoy to you. Do not touch the castle (Ten Trees Hills)"

Delgis was very confused, for she is less than to challenge the gods, or disobey them, but she felt that there was an obstacle to her movements recently, so she said honestly: "Goddess Borkhish, O Lady of Oblivion, I ask you to be safe, and to keep my memory of what is left of my time".

Burkhish said, "You are safe, Delgis, daughter of Korra, but do not imagine that this prevents your men from me, for they are not safe if you cross the red lines." She said it angrily.

Delgis prostrated again to glorify her, and closed her eyes this time to avoid seeing the nothing that had become instead of the ground, and said in a weeping voice, "My Lady, I thank you very much, but I have nothing to do with that castle, so I don't know the reason for your holy divine warning."

"You have a lot to do with it, you're planning to kill Aynur, aren't you?"

"Not me, they are Orioum killers. According to an old sacred agreement."

She approached her with her skull, and the hollows of her dark empty eyes widened at her approach:

"Mrn Atur used to venerate my statue there and sanctify me, so the place where my name was mentioned is a place that will not be forgotten, even if the whole Waste World is destroyed, my places of worship will keep its memory. I am the goddess of forgetfulness, but I am not for forgetting. And the murderers obey you, so I warn you. The castle is a sacred place and it has become one of the sacred points where the Black Gods are worshipped. Do not destroy it, Delgis. Do not destroy it."

Delgis nodded in horror.

The imaginary line began to return again to scan the whole room, and the place where the throne of the goddess of oblivion was hidden disappeared as if it were in another dimension, the things have regained their former reality, the ceiling has returned, the earth has returned, and the tremulous in fear Sitra has returned.
