Chapter 390: Confronting the Wyvern

The roar of the beast echoed throughout the dungeon, powerful and filled with authority. The sheer force of its roar caused the entire level to tremble. Smaller beasts scattered in panic, some desperately burrowing into cracks in the rocks out of sheer terror. This was the roar of the wyvern, the apex predator that ruled over this level of the dungeon.

When it was first born in the dungeon, the wyvern had been tasked with guarding the gate. It performed its duty as the gatekeeper faithfully until one day, it grew bored. It began to venture out, exploring the dungeon instead of merely guarding the entrance. It started hunting other beasts within the same level, devouring them as its prey. The wyvern became a figure of fear among all the creatures in the dungeon. Eventually, a race of beasts with a small degree of intelligence came forward to pledge their allegiance, offering to serve it and bring it food.
