Chapter 59: Just hang in there

"It's been a while, Maris," the devil says looking at him "Your daughter is grown into a beautiful woman" he adds.

Maris stares at him, "I called you for the same reason" he responded staring at him, the devil quickly scanned his head trying to read his thoughts but it was all in vain, he couldn't get access, he tried to vanish again but he couldn't, the spell was working, he looked around and he saw he was standing in the circle.

"And what is it?" the devil questions him, checking on his claws if they were also under the spell, and they were not, he still has a loophole.

"The other end of the deal" Maris reminds, yeah he's the father who was using his daughter to get something from the devil in return.

"Yes, sure I remember, you will get the life you want" he assures him, and his claws prolonged, a sly smile covered his eyes and he walked closer to him and in a split second slits Maris's neck and he fell to the ground, blood dripping but soon turned into dust.
