Chapter 290: True Hybrid??

"So, what's the plan?" Kol asked curiously. He was quite excited as they always had a few weird ways to enjoy their time, which was basically killing/massacring and drinking the blood of humans.

"We are not going on a rampage this time." Klaus replied, pouring cold water on his excitement.

Kol looked down and said "and here I was having all these new ideas of killing humans."

Klaus rolled his eyes and replied "can't you think of anything else other than killing humans?"

"Every other thing is boring." He replied with a bored look.

Klaus chuckled and said "well I have something that can entertain you."

"What is it?" He asked with curiosity and a little bit of excitement.

"You see, when I broke the seal mother put on me and awakened my wolf side, I discovered a new ability." I replied and noticed great curiosity inside his eyes, but there was also fear. Fear of me.

I sighed inside and continued, "I found out that I can turn humans into not only a vampire but also a wolf."

"What??? How is that possible? That's not how a wolf curse works. It can only be passed through generations by one's bloodline. That's how it always has been." Kol was greatly shocked and started to shake his head in denial.

"That's why you are with me. You are the most gifted and knowledgeable in magic among us siblings. You may not be able to use magic, but you have a lot of experience. So I want you to help me to experiment on this." I looked at him and nodded.

Kol suddenly started to laugh and said "hahahahaha, that will be interesting. So it involves humans, too. Alright, I will help you in this experiment." Kol agreed while smirking.

"So where are we going?" He asks

"Beacon Hills" I replied while grinning.

"Elijah, where is that bustard? What is he planning this time?" Rebekah asked Elijah as soon as she entered the house that Kalus used for his stay.

"Rebekah, I don't know where he is. As for planning something, I am sure that it's not related to any of us." Elijah replied while turning the next page of the book he was reading.

"Do you expect me to believe that?" Rebekah frowned at Elijah's reply. She crossed her arm in front of her chest and waited for her brother to explain things.

Elijah closed the book and stood up. He walked towards the window and looked outside as he replied "Rebekah, Kalus has changed. And it's for the good of our family. I have seen the care and love for our family he once had, in his eyes."

"So what? It's just a matter of time before he stabs us again, and puts us in the box, again." Rebekah retorted.

"Didn't he give us our dagger? Don't you have your dagger? Do you still not believe him?" Elijah asks.

"You always take his side." Rebekah shouted angrily.

Elijah shook his head and said "No, we always took his side. You too, Rebekah."

Rebekah still couldn't get out of her anger. Elijah continued "beside, Kalus doesn't need to fear anything anymore."

Rebekah narrowed her eyes and asked "what do you mean?"

"He has become truly immortal with power that far surpassed us." Elijah replied as he remembered the guards he fought and felt chill on his spine.

Rebekah looked confused and asked "what happened? Tell me."

Elijah sighed and told her his conversation with Kalus.

"Klaus, what happened to you? Who are those people that were guarding you?" Elijah asks Kalus who is drinking bourbon.

"Nothing, brother. It's just that I evolved into a more powerful being." Klaus replied without hiding anything. "I am not just any hybrid anymore. From this day forth I am a new race, not someone who was made by our mother."

"What do you mean?" Elijah asks curiously.

"It means brother, I am now a true hybrid, part of me is a true vampire and part of me is a true werewolf. Even white OAK tree can't kill me anymore, I am not made by some curse that needs to be balanced, I am neither dead nor Alive, I am a race of my own." Klaus revealed his secret without any hesitation.

Elijah flashed in front of him and asked "are you telling me that, after breaking your curse it evolved you into an entirely different being?"

Rebekah sat on the chair with astonishment written all over her face. She couldn't believe what she heard just now. It's too unreal. She was filled with all kinds of emotions.

But out of all her emotions there was one that was little but very strong. It was hope, hope that her brother would stop being paranoid and return to them like he was before.

Especially to her. She hadn't forgotten how much he cared for her and loved her before they turned into this monster.

Elijah comes forward and rests his hand on her shoulder and says "give him a chance. I am sure our brother will return to us now."
