Holy crapoly, I was lying on top of Chance Belgarde.

It was early morning, and the suite was filled with the sounds of the other's breaths and snores. However, Chance was starting to stir, and I had a critical decision to make.

Did I pretend to sleep so I didn't have to see him, or did I get up and make a run for my bedroom?

I froze, unable to decide what was the best course of action. Thankfully, Chance woke up and took the decision from me.

His hand skimmed up from my ankle to my thigh on the leg lying across his waist. Ever so slowly, he moved it to my side of the floor. Then he addressed the arm lying across his chest and holding onto his opposite shoulder. His warm hand gripped mine gently and again moved it to my side. Chance slowly removed his arm from behind my back and slid my head off his chest and onto a pillow with an ease I found admirable. Did he have a lot of experience removing women from himself? He better not.
