Chapter 29: Chapter 28

Mark's POV

My plan fell into place without a hitch. The stupid prince didn't know what waiting for him in the building, as I crouched behind some crates.

Alex text me and let me know that Zane and Orson were tucked in safely at home for the night. They would never get here in time.

I paid some people to pose as investors for an orphanage and wanted the prince's approval on the building I am in now before they start to remodel.

They were told to tell the prince to meet them here, and of course, they weren't really coming.

I sat in a perfect location to see when the guards would check out the place before letting him in. It was dark in here; it was easy to hide, with only some light filtering in from outside.

When he stepped in, I would jump and gag him so as not to alert the guards. See...the perfect plan!

I almost pat myself on the shoulder, but then I remembered that I slipped on my drinking and have been having a few shots each day, I promise I will get sober after this.
