Chapter 12: Chapter 11

Ezra's POV

I don't have a bunch of experience around royalty or humans for that matter, not remaining longer than I should around them.

It made this encounter a little uncomfortable but Prince Zanders's mother's personality made it pleasant, she seems nice.

I watched my uncle leave the room after silently understanding he is here for me whenever I need, knowing we wouldn't see much of each other being on different assignments.

I glance at Zander catching his olive eyes before I shifted with a slight blush on my face, knowing my thoughts about him have not been completely pure in the past few days.

I shift toward the queen and she carries a beaming smile "So Ezra, Zander has informed me about everything, those awful letters, and how you saved his life, I want to thank you for that!"

She hugged me out of nowhere, and I stiffened at the contact.
