Chapter 5: Chapter 5: Almost there
The little soul went into a deep sleep for a long time, cultivating both its own and partners mana pool at a rapid rate. The amount of time that passed was two months after Saffiyah woke up. As time flew by, the unknown due date approached. The meeting Maxim called with the adventurers, elders, and the people went not so smoothly, causing a lot of panic and worry amongst the weaker villagers, and putting the stronger individuals on edge. A couple days later, a messenger from the closest kingdom, The Kingdom of Salavaria, arrived with dire news that there had been a lot of reports of cursed beasts appearing, and that the situation may get worse.
In response, there was a workforce that set up a wall around the village as well as multiple watch towers that had shifts, and were working on an underground safe room just in case. From then on, Maxim would train his son with more intensity while Aarons mother would teach him better mana control and magic manifestation. The young Aaron made a lot of improvement and jumped to the next ranks for all of his stats, going from F to E Rank in stats, while his CORE jumped to D Rank. This progress was fast compared to most people, his mastery and experience in combat grew greatly, as well. All of this was stimulated due to the past events involving the Wolf.
The village did not have many problems, the only changes were the increase in monster population and traveling merchants coming in much slower due to the increase in danger. The retired adventure population of the village however increased due to injuries and the increase of monsters brought about more wealth to the more experienced adventurers. Growing the overall power of the village and its neighbors.
While Max was in another meeting with the other adventurers discussing plans and countermeasures, Aaron came running into the meeting hall. Aaron: "DAD, MOM IS GOING INTO LABOR". Max hearing this immediately took off, arriving at his house with Aaron on his back in a flash.
*Inside*
For the first time, the little soul heard another voice. While still being in his partner's mana pool, he noticed that his partner was waking up, although with a weird emotion which flooded his mana pool. His partner returned back to his body, when all of a sudden, there was a load of pain. Trying to leave his partner's mana pool was not possible as the little soul was trapped. "Grimoire is your name, little soul", said a mysterious voice that Grimoire couldn't focus on due to the pain. Eventually, after enduring all the pain, Grimoire went into a deep sleep for a week.
Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Outside world
Max put Aaron down outside, "Wait out here son, i'll call you in a bit" said Max who was in a rush. Dashing up the stairs and barging in, "Saffiyah, ARE YOU ALRIGHT, MARILDA, WHAT'S GOING ON?" said Max in a very concerned tone as his wife has been pregnant longer than the norm. "QUIET DOWN MAX '' said Marilda as Saffiyah was holding her baby. "Your wife and kid are fine, there aren't any complications and that's amazing" said Marilda in a happy tone, while Max rushed to his wife's side and stared down with her at their kid. "Honey, I've decided that we should name our kid after our grandparents' names, Ashfall Revera", Said Saffiyah who was grinning from ear to ear with bags under her eyes. "You should rest Darling, me and Marilda can take care of our kid", Said Max who was beaming with joy. "You mean I'm taking care of the baby, your rough hands will only hurt the kid, go get yourself some soft mittens before you even touch the child, take Aaron with you and get some baby stuff, its a girl if you hadn't noticed" Said Marilda in a bossy tone before Max could touch his kid. "Hah hah hah, yeah, I'll go do that '' as Max walked out, dejected looking at his wife and kid as he slowly left the room.
Saffiyah started laughing as the sight was interesting, "Wah Wah Wah!" Cried Ash as the ruckus startled the young baby. "See what you did Max", Said Marilda. Max rushed downstairs yelling sorry, which upset Ash even more as she started crying her eyes out. Marilda took Ash to take care of her and told Saffiyah to get rest. Eventually Marilda managed to calm Ash down and made her rest, setting up a baby crib right next to Max and Safiyah's bed.
*A week later*
'What happened' thought Grimoire as he awoke from his deep sleep, immediately noticing the huge improvement of his and Ash's mana pools. Leaving Ash's mana pool, Grimoire saw a new perspective, a sight full of color and moving objects, as well as the clear flow of mana. As well as multiple feelings, some unpleasant and others he enjoyed. "Say aww Ash" said Marilda laughing at ash as he sucked on his thumb. Feeling awkward and shy, Grimoire went to the darker parts of Ash's mind avoiding what Ash was seeing, thinking that it wasn't productive. Already used to intense and long mana training, Grimoire would go back and forth between training and Ash's perspective.
Ash's life would go on like this for about a year, with Grimoire acting shy about how he felt viewing the outside world from Ash's Perspective. The Revera family would not experience much other than the constant growth of Aaron and Ash learning to walk and talk.
