Chapter 7: Soul Reapers

Ren suddenly felt weak all over, looking around, he found out that he is back in Greenhaven.
Ding! The player was killed by player Crusher_1!
"My first death…" Ren sighed, but his expression immediately turn cold the next moment.
Imagine being killed just because you're a too weak to protect your own skill! Isn't that a slap to the face of the once great guild leader of Soul Reapers?
"Crusher huh… I'll make sure to crush you the next time we meet!" Ren made a vow in his heart, and he is never the one to break his promises.
"Yo- Is it my eyes or is it really you?" Suddenly a familiar voice entered his ears.
Ren immediately tried to locate the source.
"Geez, Dead eyes, did you just got killed?" That same voice sounded at the same time, he felt a tap on his shoulder.
Ren sighed, it is indeed a familiar face.
"Yea, I got PK by some orkish man" Ren sighed.
Ding! Player Jwhbsrinvfriygrf sent a friend request! Are you willing to accept?

Ren chose yes without hesitation, he believed that even if the whole world is to turn on him, he knew that this guy is one of the few that he could always depend on.
"Tsk… Just at the 3rd level of the Qi Absorption realm" Jwhbsrinvfriygrf clicked his tongue in amusement.
Ren felt embarrassed and immediately retorted, "I just received a level drop, and I'm at the peak of the fourth level"
This further made Jwhbsrinvfriygrf laughed even more, Ren's face turn ashen, among all of his old friend, this guy is the one most known for his unwavering determination when it comes to grinding levels!
"Bro, I'm at the peak of the Qi absorption realm and that is because I bought the game yesterday!" Jwhbsrinvfriygrf announced.
Hiss-
Ren took a deep breath staring at him as if he is a monster, Peak Qi absorption cultivation in just a day?
Now that he inspected him more closely, he realized that Jwhbsrinvfriygrf is radiating an aura even more terrifying than Crusher_1.
The teen guy had a handsome visage with black hair, his eyes sharp with an amused smile on his lips. He is covered in an all-old black clothing, with an extremely thin sword by his side, as if it's a giant needle!
"It's been a while, but you haven't change, not even your crazy weird naming sense" Ren joked, his friend list bearing the name of jwhbsrinvfriygrf only.
"Mhm, I'm planning on breaking through to the foundation establishment realm soon, what are you gonna do now?" jwhbsrinvfriygrf asked.
"Nothing much, just cultivation" Ren answered.
"Well, how about you follow me, I know of a good place to cultivate" Jwhbsrinvfriygrf offered to which Ren agreed readily, "Sure"

The duo happily chatted as they walked, meanwhile in a different place, a group of players radiating powerful auras are gathered in a vast hall.
The shocking thing about this group is that the weakest among is in the early foundation-establishment realm!

The system notification sounded continuously, everyone in the hall felt a surge of Qi as they broke through three levels consecutively!
A player bearing the name SR-Gadanga, sat upon a silver throne, looking down on every other player with a smirk on his face. He is slightly fat, with cold scheming eyes, propping his chin with his left arm while tapping rhythmically with his right.
Seeing the excited smile on everyone's face, he said, "See? Getting rid of Death Eye Aizen was the right decision. With this king here, the Soul Reapers is bound to reach new heights" He announced proudly.
"The king is wise!" A player bearing the name SR-Leemsa flattered.
The rest of the ten or so players also chorused, except for a skinny but tall-dark complexion man who silently stood in the corner exuding a fierce and terrifying aura.
"He might play this game too" He suddenly said, his voice not that deep but the killing intent in it is enough to quiet down the halls, making the so call king frowned as well.
"He will seek revenge and I'll kill him a hundred times, I'll not let him have peace in his entire life" The man vowed, "That humiliation… he will pay with his life!"
His eyes flashed and everyone drew a cold breath, the enmity between their former guild leader and SR-Teejay is not something that could be resolve easily!
In fact, he, along with a few of the upper-echelons are the ones who plotted the ex-guild leader's downfall, the finishing touches was when Ren during his crazy-depression teenage phase made the mistake of giving his most trustworthy player the position of the guild leader and quitted gaming due to lack of a good device.
Unfortunately when he return, SR-Hunter, the player he entrusted with the guild leader position refused to give it back, at that time, Teejay was promoted to an elder of the guild while Gadanga the current guild leader was promoted to assistant guild leader.
Thus, when he confronted them about it, it resulted in a conflict in which they called him all sort of names and eventually muting him in the group chat, then later kicking him out of both the group chat and the gaming guild.
Now, SR is one of the top five greatest guild in the world but still, some of the members still held a grudge against Ren!
