Chapter 3: Second ending?...
I slept like a log even though it was my first time sleeping here at my new house. Now that i got most of the living necessities this will do the work. I am totally ready to spend my time here with Nina. In these year of time spend here i took note of hero as well as the capital city. As the rumours suggested when i was in the village, the whole capital is protected by the hundreds of meter high wall unlike our village whose wall were just few tens of meter. Thats why those damn monsters were able to trample us so easily. Thinking about that i clenched my fist.
And also the whole capital is covered by as holy barrier to ward off the demons and it managed by the Holy temple of Aria. This also the national religion of the Greza empire. But the temple or the Empire are not into practice of forcing it's people to follow the state religion and allow them to follow there own beliefs. Thats why i was not able to notice any symbols or marks related to Goddess Aria. As my village followed the goddess of nature Aranyani. But now that i have watched her statue as well as her mark on my adventurer card she felt like similar to the goddess Durga from my world. The Greza empire royality also follow the state religion to encourage people to more and more practice belief in her.

I not only worked on my financial situations but also on building my strength. As i review my stats everyday to calculate my course of action for today. Then i go through my diary to review the timeline so that i dont miss any important event. As my stats shows i worked in acquiring the swordsman job through my knowledge. But just like in game i didn't work on my magic as i think of the magic to be difficult to handle and learn though it may be handy in future, but i am totally in race againts time.
As mentioned in the diary while working in clearing the dungeon the hero will get close to the chosen Saint and the 2nd Princess of the Greza who was also the compaion in this totally harem shit. Not only that but here he will also come's in contact with the third sub-heroine the party leader of the silver fang. The Silver fang was a party comprised of vetrains and also their leader was reannounce to be the sword of the Magnus kingdom, who was neighbour and a imoprtant alliance member for the Greza empire to fight off the Demons.
I washed up and had my breakfast now i am ready to leave for adventurers guild as today will be celebration day for the sucess of the dungeon first sucess run. So today i for first time will be able to see up close the Hero summoned. With this i took my sword and left my new house for work.
When i reached the gild office i didn't find the expected scene of party and celebration. Insted what i found were the panicked clerks of the adventurer guild. I got close to the counter were Ria was busy with some work. She is the person who helped me a lot here in capital, she is kind and helpful, but most of it she is always cheerful. But now i can't find a ounce of that nature in her, infact she is so busy that she didn't even notice that i was standing there in fron of her desk.
"Hello! Ria."
"FUUUMYAAA"
What's with this cute reaction.
"Oh it's just Roye....fu"
"Well what happened ? why there is so much rush today?"
As is asked this question Ria facial expression darkend to a very serious one.
"It was asked of us to keep it a secret, but if it's you i can trust you Roye."
She got a bit closer to my ears,just to wisper the news to me.I could smell her perfume and also could feel her breath near my ears right now.
"You see the hero who left for the subjugation of the First Dungeon(beginners dungeon) got a bit a head of the assigned floor for the mission and got caught in the trap of the dungeon and was heavily injured. According to Princess he is in care of the Saint."
I thought this might happen, but he was lucky to just get injured and not die as Saint healing magic will show it's work in no time.
"So thats what happened, and is why the guild is in rush!"
"Well this is just a rumour in guild but the Silver fang Serina was also in quite serious condition while trying to save Hero."
If she is seriously injured then hero is alive is only a miracle.
"The hero might already be dead, but as the Royality knows that the existence of the word hero. They know that his presence was the reason why the demons were not attacking."
My mind went blank hearing what Ria said. How stupid can i be if this really is the game then there should be no state as coma or heavily injury. Just he failed means dead or alive means completed the quest. As the situations now this is not the later senario. So even though i dont want to admit it.
"Roye?"
I ran out of the adventurer office in panic.
"Roye....Roye!"
I ingnored all the call from Ria as there were many thoughts racing in my mind.
"Dammit all! why did this happen. Why.....why ?"
Even though i was complaining to my self, it was not doing any good. I got home and packed my stuff in bag to leave for the village.
"Even though things were different unlike last time? how can this change?"
As uncle Gill just left yesterday so he might still be far from reaching the village. I need to take the teleportation gate to the town near my village. Even though this will cost nearly my whole fortune. But i need to do this before the info of the hero's death leak to the demons side. I locked the door of my new bought house, where i didn't even got to spend much time. It's funny that just one person fate is controlling this whole world and lives of million. This shitty game.
I got to the portal in hurry there were many who were coming in from the portal as capital is the most safest place of all. So all the nobles and the merchants were urgently moving under the protection of the empire. But why ? isn't the news about the Hero's death still suppressed. The rumours must have enticed them to shift here. As i was the only traveller apart from knights using wrap gate to leave the capital, my turn came in very fast.
"I failed to say a proper good bye to Ria"
"Are you sure you want to use the wrap gate to leave the capital?"
"Why? is there any problem?"
"Don't you know that the Demon army on the border are preparing to invade."
My heart dropped as if cold water was splashed on my body. Are they really going to attack just on the pretext of a rumour, no they are no fool to just move on a speculation.
"Sir sign here please!"

Was there any story about a spy in the royal castle?But why wait for hero to die itself. Why not just kill him when he is weak. There are many questions but no one to answer those. With these thoughts i entered the Wrap gate, as it was my first time combining my both life here and on earth. I felt a bit weird while passing through it, but i reached my destination in no time.
The place i was right now is the city known by the name Nor. It's famous as it is known as the wall for the Empire, which protects the empire from the demons while keeping them in check. But the thing which made this city more special by the game point of view was that the Saint in the Hero's party was the daughter of Count Raiven Norvier, who was also the lord of this city.
There were quite a rush, as mostly knights could be seen running here and there, this also shows the gravity of the situation. Anexity in my heart was rising. I moved towards the north city gate. The city was not as large as capital so it took me not more than 20 minutes to reach the gate.
"Hey boy were are you going can't you see no civilian is allowed to leave here!"
"I am not a civilian.....here!"
I showed him my adventurer badge.
"But where will you go there is f***ing demons out there?"
"No my village!....there are people who i need to evacuate."
"Village? but all the village in the parameters were already went extinct under the demons invasion"
"What!....no.....no.....i can't be this late"
I pushed the knight aside ran towards the direction of the village.
"Why again....even though i told her i will make things right this time!"
Tears were already flowing down like rain as i was running towards the direction of the Konoha village but was stopped in track as what i saw was ruins of a once peaceful village. Corpse here and there disfigured but i don't see any demons.
"Chief?..."
There was body lying there of our chief in the pool of blood. I took his body which was missing a arm in my hands.
"So someone was still left?"
I heard a horse sound from inside the house, there came out a orc grinning with a big axe in one hand but my gaze were totally concentrated on what he was holding in his other hand.
"That..!"
He was holding in his hand was a arm of a girl. And i can't be wrong about the arm as it still wore the same band which i gifted her while i left the village.
"Oh this ? it's of a cheeky brat who was trying to decive me."
He was grinning and waving the hand like a toy. At that very moment something snap inside my head. My hand unknowingly went to my sword and slash. I sent his head flying. Anger,regret, rejection i don't even know how many more dark emotion scratched my back. At that very time watching one of their comrade die other orcs came in for attack total five to be exact. Even though i trained to make my self strong enough but in situation like this any sane person would backdown but i already lost that sanity. I leaped towards them with my sword.
"How much time has passed ? I think an hour!"
I was lying in the pool of blood, orcs blood to be exact. I never thought i can win a fight with five orcs altogether. But this victory came with a hefty price as their was big axe wound on my chest and also i lost my right hand.The world is getting dimmer and dimmer.
"So is this me again going to die achieving nothing?"
A smile crept on my face of self mockery. As in my world i read novels of people who regressed and past and changed everthing.
"But i was a loser till the very end,right? Nina?"
I couldn't protect a single girl. My vision was narrowing as the time passed, until it totaly went dark.
"Will their be any next time?"
