Chapter 160: No One Fucks With Him

I prided myself on my intelligence; I really did. It wasn't that I was bragging or anything like that. I had built multiple companies from the ground up, created inventions and drugs that helped people, and did it all under the radar by the time I was 18.

I was smart, god dammit, so why did I feel so stupid right now?

"Are you sure that you should be telling me this?" I asked Travis, looking up at him. I was more than comfortable sitting in his lap, my face resting against his chest that, short of death, I wasn't moving.

He looked down at me and smiled gently. "I won't get in trouble if that is what you are worried about."

The human part of me wanted to be strong and independent, get off his lap and demand to know just who was worried about him.
