Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Power

Grayson drops to the ground, narrowly dodging as the knife imbeds itself inches deep in the tree behind him.

Jude lets out an animalistic scream and tackles Arthur to the ground. Jude gets above him, fist lifted back when Arthur flips Jude off of him and scrambles back on his feet.

"You don't know what you're messing with, Jude. Let me kill the human and we can finally be happy!" He screams, looking around wildly for Grayson.

Grayson appears behind Arthur in the confusion. "Hey, a*shole!"

When Arthur turns to see him, Grayson sucker punches him square in the jaw. Arthur doesn't flinch.

Grayson blinks. Then, runs as fast as humanly possible in the other direction with Arthur hot on his heels.

He passes Jude, launching himself behind him.

"Is this really necessary? He betrayed your trust, Jude. He lied to you and schemed his way into your life. You need to carve out the rot of humanity in your soul!" Arthur hisses.

"You don't know anything about Grayson," Jude responds.
