Grayson and Jude pull into the bar's parking lot in the same car that day.
"You know there's no way she says nothing, right?" Grayson says, his voice tinged with concern.
"I'm not worried about her." Jude shifts into park. "All I want to think about is how happy I am today."
Grayson gives him a look.
"I don't know why you're so scared of her, Gray. She's still the same little girl who was scared of the dark until she was thirteen."
"I can't imagine her being scared of anything, if I'm completely honest with you. She seems like the kind of kid who would have barked back at dogs."
"...Actually, she did do that one. That was partially on me, though. I told her I knew how to speak dog, and taught her everything I knew."
Grayson whips his head to stare at Jude. "Can you talk to dogs? I can't believe we haven't talked about this before!"
