Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Tailing

Grayson sits in his car as Jude and Amelia's cars drive away. He pauses for five seconds before pulling his car out of the parking lot and following Jude.

It was risky, he knew. Especially since there were never any cars on these roads. But if he kept a long follow distance, Jude shouldn't be able to discern that he was being trailed. Not to mention, at the speed Jude drove, it would be nothing short of a miracle for him to notice who was behind him.

He wasn't driving home; Grayson could tell that right away. He was headed in the complete opposite direction, into town.

Grayson rubs his eyes, his stomach feeling like a stone. Was this even necessary? It wasn't like Grayson was a jilted wife trying to catch her emotionally distant husband in a sordid affair. He was just an idiot who fell in love with someone that might not love him back.

Jude didn't deserve this. Grayson can feel his knuckles going white on his steering wheel.

Just a few more minutes, then he'll stop.
