The best part of this novel are the first 200 chapters, where he is low-key, self-satisfied, and wary of everything, which I really enjoyed. But suddenly everything changed. The novel was no longer talking about forbidden techniques. Suddenly he had a sacred body and talent that defied the heavens. He began killing anyone left and right, provoking anyone right and left. Treasures began to be scattered right and left. Techniques and talents were scattered right and left. The loli was scattering left and right, the divine pet beasts were scattering right and left, literally everything was scattering left and right. It literally became just a typical bad Chinese novel that I couldn't stand anymore and dropped it around chapter 450
fell off seriously after blackrock ruins arc. Author obviously didn't plan the story after that point. Plotholes and illogical actions everywhere. If it gets better please inform.
The story started off great, where mc hid himself to slowly cultivate. He would use forbidden techniques to power up faster at a cost of damaging his body. But since he has an immortal body, he would heal up and just get stronger. This was going great because the whole premise of the novel was based on mc hiding and cultivating, then doing some major thing before hiding again. But this all suddenly changed around chapter 275 or so when mc disguised himself as different people and just when forbidden ground hunting, one after another to level up. It then turned to any other cliche cultivation novel out there. Kill this person, kill that, look for treasure, rinse and repeat. This could have been so much better if the author stuck to the original formula instead of deviating to a fighting/treasure hunting fest.
just poor writing, nothing makes sense and nothing is fully explained. made it 30 chapters and I just could not tolerate any more. I Like garbage but this is New York city levels of trash.
All good and amazing at mortal world arc but all thing got hectic once MC went to immortal civilization. The story got more incoherent with previous chapters. This kept happening for hundreds of chapters. No explaining on how and what got him on some situation that you have to backtrack some chapters still confusing how they connects to ongoing storyline. Its still worth reading mortal world arc for those who are interested if they have no other novel to read they find interesting
At the beginning it was a great novel but then he sort of forgot he was immortal and it all went downhill from there.
It was 4 stars until Black Rock Ruins. But then arrogance started to ruin the plot. After he left the ruins, the MC completely changed the way he acted before. In 397 he knows there may be nascent souls looking for him but he does not hide - He is just laying the foundation.

it's quite good and there's so many philosophical words just remember I don't know if it's unedited but I feel mtl and many mistranslation and ofcourse it's not racism or anything but fact that should be acknowledge as some words are actually strong and not for weak mental reader if your not in the mood please don't read just came back if your in the mood as you'll enjoy it more in that way as I'm not in depth in story I can't say for sure eif the quality will drop
everything is great, one of the rare species in webnovel which even after 600 chapters still not MTL.MC really start to act as Immortal at the early novel, we can see transition of times but after he become Immortal and create a faction, the story dragged and i got impression that he forgot he is an Immortal
i waa hokked at first it was going ok and all but somehow i reached chapter 400 and bang i got boredddd... at first it was hiding and cultuvating but later bang be violent and wreck havoc no stoopping they are just rinsing the same plot
has the novel 4eturned to the right part, those that are still following it. cause am think of giving it another chance, when I say right part am talk about him stops being arrogant and cocky like our usual mcs
Well I loved the idea of this novel, but for me it is a little basic…. He could be doing all sorts of things with his life but he just lives in a remote village and is not very strong, at least in the beginning. I am sure it picks up great, but after reading maybe 50-? Or so chapters it does get rather boring. I think people who enjoy more relaxing novels would enjoy this one. It is pretty peaceful and every conflict is not a huge deal for the world, if that makes sense. Everything is pretty much limited to the small villages, and the mc has not affected the outside world. The mc also is a true immortal, besides the fact he is an immortal cultivator he does not have to cultivate to live forever and he does it for strength. But everything that happens is rather basic, nothing very interesting happens at least from the beginning
The thing i don't like about any cultivation world is giving away inheritance so just for that 2 stars
the novel was at first interesting but after visiting the secret realm and a while later it turns stupid, I have been hissing ever since and hoping for a turn around but it keeps getting worse, the mc got arrogant and instead of the usual style, he decided to create a sect or something. it absolutely a great novel but it went astray from the what was promised
Honestly i feel a bit guilty in rating it 2 stars. For 200 or so chapters this novel is worthy 4.5 stars (I consider 5 stars a masterpice), but starting from chapter 300 something onwards its quality goes down to the point that around chapter 400 it is absolute trash. It is obvious how the author couldn't sustain the required chapter output and the quality of the novel suffered dramatically. The webnovel system, where quantity matter more than quality, reaped another victim.
4/5 + until Black Rock Ruins, then the quality drops real fast. The translation is good but there are issues with pronouns in most of the chaps, but it was still okay. The story was progressing nicely and everything was good. But during Black Rock Ruins, everything goes downhill, the translation goes off, there is even no mention of who the pronoun is denoting. Then there is a continuous series of face slapping moments. MC defeats one guy whom everyone thinks he can't defeat and persuades him to step back. then another guy comes and same thing keeps on repeating. Dropping the novel now. Might resume it if it gets completed.
Inconsistent with failed logic from the very start. It’s not as horrendous as other novels but it’s still terrible
It was really good until the mc suddenly just gets saint level (the stongest cultivation state in this book) techniques, relics, treasures in succesion after he established his foundation :(. Before that he has to make do with subpar, forbidden techniques and bide his time against his enemies. It was way more interesting back then.
Everything is good and I loved it that's all but i also wanted to see him dabble in different skills well as he is immortal, we will be able to see that in the future. Good work.
A bad very bad novel, the worst mc ever, very overpowered cheat, don't read it absolutely, its irritating and a waste of time, bad world building and bad characters.
It gets sorta boring once he leaves the mortal world but is otherwise a pretty decent story.
currently at chapter 12 but let me just leave this review. so mc is immortal with cheat regeneration and took a taming technique, after taming a rabbit the mc stopped using it yada yada and after the rabbit was killed then he only thought of using it again. wants to be lowkey but when he got cornered by some thief that wants to steal his money, he beats them up and gave them money to start rumour about him stealing from them. i just feel like instead of trying to learn martial arts from that hobo he could've prolly travelled outside the mountain or deeper in he mountain for more herbs or accumulate animals to help look for herbs on his stead. classic lowkey wannabe but keeps attracting other's attention towards him kind of novel.
The problem is the MC he got immortality but he is not using it will like he is boring

Well I loved the idea of this novel, but for me it is a little basic…. He could be doing all sorts of things with his life but he just lives in a remote village and is not very strong, at least in the beginning. I am sure it picks up great, but after reading maybe 50-? Or so chapters it does get rather boring. I think people who enjoy more relaxing novels would enjoy this one.
