The next day, Zhou Chao slept until nearly ten o'clock before reluctantly getting out of bed. After a quick wash, he descended from upstairs with a hint of drowsiness.
He spotted Jiang Li sitting on the sofa, munching on fruits while watching TV, occasionally bursting into laughter.
Glancing around, and not finding Lin Wu, he inquired, "Where's Wu?"
"Brother Chao, you're up. I'm not sure. When I woke up this morning, I didn't see Wu around!" Jiang Li glanced at Zhou Chao before turning her gaze back to the television.
Zhou Chao nodded, assuming Lin Wu must have gone to attend to the tasks he assigned.
"Young Master Zhou, would you like something to eat?" Aunt Kuang emerged from somewhere.
Zhou Chao checked the time and shook his head slightly, "No, Aunt Kuang, I'll pass. It's almost noon anyway!"
"Alright, I'll start preparing lunch now!" Aunt Kuang said as she headed towards the kitchen.
