Chapter 159: First Trial

The sky gradually darkened, and the lights along the Jialing River began to glow, including the night lights at Hongya Cave!

Meanwhile, Zhou Chao and Jiang Li were still fast asleep, dreaming away.

"Ah, why is it so dark?" As soon as he opened his eyes, Zhou Chao felt the darkness surrounding him. At the same time, he sensed that his right hand was resting on something soft. He gently rubbed it.

"Mmm," Jiang Li in his embrace emitted a gentle moan, and in that instant, Zhou Chao became acutely aware of where his hand was. He contemplated retracting it but desired to prolong the moment. Yet, as he glanced downwards, he noticed Jiang Li gazing at him with wide-open eyes.

"I can't help it," Zhou Chao said, removing his hand.

"You big rascal!" Jiang Li whispered under her breath but snuggled even closer to Zhou Chao.

"Do you want something to eat? It's almost 9:30!" 

"I do, but I don't want to leave the bed. I just want to stay here."
