“I guess I got lucky. I only noticed the shine from the dagger he carried. There was a slight shine due to the torch close by the building.” She described everything without leaving a single detail.

“I see...” Darce replied he went closer to the sword on the side rack of the fireplace.

He opened the sword from its cover and observed it for a while. His eyes did not give any sign of hostility. Darce moved the sword in his right palm checking the blade. Next, he walked closer to her and pointed the sharp edge towards her neck.

“Now tell me why is the ghost number eighty-four applying for a bodyguard position in my camp.” Rosa did not expect the sword in front of her.

However, her body did not flinch it only lifted her chin to avoid the sharp edge of the sword. There was no feeling of danger coming from the person in front of her.

“Speak, why is a ghost walking behind me?” He pushed the sword closer to her throat almost touching her.
