“It seems I can’t hide much from you, young Sir.” He replied, but his expression did not change.

The shadow floated beside her. ‘Pfft, he called you Sir.’ Rosa rolled her eyes and ignored the shadow.

“Yes, I am the owner of various gambling businesses here. A master has to earn money for his house. However, I was too slow to move the cursed object from that place. Thus, the luck fell.”

Rosa blinked and shook her head. “There was slave trading under your eyes yet the only thing you think was the problem is the cursed vase?” she was feeling pissed.

“As I said it is business. I have to give rent to the people who will pay money.” He replied confidently. He pointed towards her. “If your company pays for my house, I will give the stage to you as well.”

‘Wow, more heartless than you.’ The shadow added.

‘He is disgusting me.’ Rosa thought trying to keep her head in the conversation.
