It is dawn and a lone figure sat on the roof high on top. The large roof has only red tiles which are dark under the sky. The orange ray fell on her brown boots while the air ruffled her below shoulder-length hair. She still debated on whether to cut it back short again.

Her white shirt ruffled with the blow of the wind. Her skin is cold to the touch. When she came back from the auction house. She was covered in blood and soot from the fire. She kept soaking herself in the water until her mind said it is okay to move. Her mind pondered on the words of that red-haired noble.

‘How am I cursed?’ she pulled the silver chain and took out the locket. ‘Little Rosaline’

She played with it around her fingers. ‘Are curses true?’

The shadow climbed out from the titles and floated in front of her. ‘The people around you die, so there is no doubt you could be cursed.’ His grin does not irritate her anymore.
