The thunder made a loud sound in the sky. The wind blew stronger outside the cave but inside the cave, it was warm and only got a bit cooler. However, the fire still kept glowing brightly. Rosa crouched at the entrance of the cave. Her eyes were looking at the sky above. The forest trees made swishing sounds while bending on its sides. The rain made the ground close to the entrance wet but the rest of the cave was dry. She got up and walked back.
“It will rain the whole night.” Darce smiled at her and nodded.
“It is getting a bit colder.” The mark of exhaustion was etched on his face. “Sit down and rest. I don’t think they will find us before the rain stops.”
Rosa huffed and sat down pulling her knee up to her chin. She kept her back on the entrance and faced the fire in the middle.
“Do you know what happened to commander Tristan?” she asked, as the thought came into her head.
