The candle on the table flickered. Justin sat on the table with a mug of beer close to him. The cold is getting harsher. He thought a deink would warm him up. He sighed looking at the empty house. Justin has been a loner since he did not get married, but Olivia used to drop by making him feel less of a loner. Now with the kids out he feels empty in the whole house.

He starred at the window; the darkness increased as the night fell. He took a sip to make his body warm. ‘That girl went without any food.’

He watched the door. The battle ended a long time ago. Usually he would see the kids entering this time to drop down and talk about their day. He feared if anything happened to them. Justin knew that the kids are just working hard.

He chuckled at himself. “I am acting like Olivia right now.”
