Chapter 1: Chapter 1
"Hey! Get back here you two!" A shop keeper ran after two twins one was 5'9 olive brown skin and had long black hair with green eyes and a scar on the right side of their cheek they were in tattered clothing. The other was a 5'0 and had medium red hair dark brown skin with orangeish yellow eyes they too were in tattered clothing.
"Quickly Arcus this way." Arcus followed behind his sister. As they ran into a nearby alley the shop keeper was right on their heels. Arcus pointed up that's when the shop keeper cornered them and Arcus grabbed his sister's hand and that's when their eyes started to glow and a funnel of wind began to lift them up in the air.
The shop keeper looked up in an awe-struck way as he saw the twins land on a nearby roof top. A nearby White Lotus member saw what had occurred in the alleyway and decided to follow the twins to a run down old Equalist hide out. "Hey Arcus do you know what happened back there?" Arcus just shrugged his shoulders and tossed his sister a piece of bread when he could hear the footsteps of the White Lotus member.
He quickly stood up and shot an air blast at the White Lotus member she went flying into a nearby metal post. He then followed up with metal bending and cuffing her to the metal post. That's when his sister stepped infront of them. "Stop it Arcus." Arcus looked down at his sister and shook his head. Arcus' sister turned to the White Lotus member and asked her what her name was. "My name Yona and I'm with the White Lotus we were in search of the next Avatar but I think I found him." "Sorry to tell you but I think the term is them." "We both have two elements." "That's impossible!?" "Well considering you just saw my brother use airbending and Earthbending. What do you think I have hm?" "Uh...Water and Fire?"
"Correct, by the way my name is Viona." Viona demonstrated her firebending skills and pulled water out of thin air. "Twin Avatars!? That is unheard of. Do you mind if I ask for you and your brother to come with me so we can train you?" "Let me and my brother think about it." "I can give you twenty four hours if you don't decide by then. The White Lotus will send members to bring you back by force." "Very well, and I'd like to see them try." Arcus walked over to a junk pile and began to tinker with the old Equalist electric gloves. "um...A little help." Arcus waved his hand and the metal went back into place and Yona fell to the ground. Viona helped Yona up.
Yona bowed to Viona and Arcus before she walked away. "So what you think Arcus?" Arcus looked up and pointed to broken glass and then looked over to one of his inventions. "You're right we should be cautious, but we can go see what's in store for us right?"
Arcus pointed to the metal post and sighed. "So give her our answer and see if it can make us stronger." Arcus smiled. Arcus tossed his blanket to his sister and told her to get some sleep. "But what about you? You need rest too." Arcus just looked at his younger sister and continued to disassemble the Equalist glove.
Four hours later...Two White Lotus members burst through the glass of the old hideout and one began to shoot fireballs while the other sent rocks flying at Arcus and Viona. Arcus barrel rolled his way out of the path of the rocks and put up an Earth Wall to protect his sister and grabbed her and put her over his shoulders.
He shot a ring of fire with one hand as he grabbed a strange contraption from his work bench. He sat his sister down and closed his eyes he waited and heard the breathing of the firebending white lotus member coming down the hall and smelled the other's burnt White Lotus robe on the roof. "Where are they?" Arcus pointed up and toward the hall. "You take the roof." Arcus shook his head and Airbended to the roof and met the White Lotus member. He quickly shot metal spikes at Arcus. Arcus used his Airbending to dodge the spikes and reverse one metal spike back at the EarthBender. He quickly raised a metal wall and it pierced through the wall cutting his cheek and turned to look for Arcus but he was nowhere to be seen. Arcus then appeared from underneath the EarthBender and shot him with his weird contraption causing him to go flying off the roof but not before Arcus used airbending to save him from his fall.
The EarthBender tried to Earthbend but to no aveil. "My bending what did you do to my bending?" Arcus just walked up to him and made an X with his arms and Airbended away to go help his sister. Meanwhile at the battle between Viona and the Fire bender... "Gah! Not bad for a half Avatar." "Well this half Avatar is better than you are." "Snot nosed brat!" The firebender shot a powerful fireball and she countered it with a downward fire whip. She then followed up with a one handed fire jet and shot a ice ball causing him to fly back. He tried to get up but his hand got stepped on by Arcus. "Argh!" Arcus held his gun like contraption to the firebender's face. "I wouldn't move if I were plus you lost this match." commented Arcus.
The firebender moved a finger and was quickly blasted with Arcus' gun. He tried to firebend but couldn't. "You nullified his ability to firebend but how?" "The electric currents sent through the gloves act as a nullifying agent through the body over stimulating them causing us to pass out. Where as I reversed engineered it with the Equalist's Electro staffs." "Nice." Viona fist bumped her brother. "So anyway why are you here? Yona gave us twenty-four hours to make our decision." "This was a test set by Master Mako to see if what Yona said was the truth." "Is he lying?" Arcus shook his head yes.
"Stop lying!" "Fine, we wanted to see if the rumors were true so me and my friend wanted to see if what Yona said was the truth." "Arcus?" Arcus shook his head no. "So you're telling the truth." "Now give me a good reason to not burn you." Arcus looked at Viona and she sneered. "Go, get out of here and take your partner with you before I change my mind." The White Lotus Member ran out the hideout and into a car followed by his partner. Arcus put a hand on her shoulder. "I know it won't bring mom and dad back just taking my anger out on everyone that challenges us it just hurts so much knowing that they died protecting Republic City. I know they did it to protect us but why leave us so suddenly. I'm so hurt and angry and confused it's frustrating me!" Arcus brought his sister in close and put his hand on her head as she cried. "I know I have a heavy heart too." Arcus replied as a tear drop streamed down his cheek.
"Do you think we should still trust them?" "Zero is the saddest number for it has no partner but two is just as lonely without the other numbers to help them grow." "So you're saying in Order for us to grow into our own person's and as full fledged Avatars we must learn to trust people and accept help from others?" Arcus smiled and ruffled his sisters hair. "Hey stop it you know I hate when you do that." Arcus laughed and said let's follow them. Viona went out the warehouse and looked at the tire tracks she then silently whistled and a Canyon Crawler comes from a nearby alleyway.
"Hey girl." Arcus did short blasts of wind and a Polar Leopard Caribou came down from the roof of a nearby abandoned factory. Arcus petted it and got on top of it. "You ready Inao?" He said as he scratched the back of her ear. "Can Inara lead us to them?" "Of course she can." Inara smelled the tire tracks and trotted forward with Viona. Inao and Arcus followed behind.
