Chapter 26: The Boss's Daughter

Conrad and Meliora instinctively shifted into their defensive stances as soon as they turned their heads toward the voice. 

But once their eyes adjusted and were able to recognize the familiar faces, they sighed in relief and began to loosen their tense postures. 

Standing on the doorway were two women dressed in maid uniforms. One of them stood elegantly with an emotionless expression on her face, while the second standing in front of the two had a more welcoming demeanor and had a smile on her face.

"Lady Nelda and Daphne…what are you two doing here?"

Connie frowned, but he was still relieved that these two weren't enemies. If they were, things would have been troublesome even with his newfound abilities. 

"They're here to ensure the mission is completed. That's why you've come right?"

"Correct! But that's not all we've been sent to—!"
