Chapter 21: An Angel

Chaos spread like wildfire around the café and in the political rally.

The shot sounded off in its vicinity so the place must have been plunged into confusion and fear. Especially considering the large number of people who were present.

Around Geraldine, people screamed as they rushed for cover in a panic. Tables were overturned, cups and plates clattered to the ground while scrambling from their seats.

As expected, the two maids remained perfectly composed. Nelda's emotionless ginger eyes continued to stare ahead while she drank the lukewarm tea. And Daphne quietly stood next to her with a warm smile playing on her lips.

Unlike the crowd scattering around them, they remained still and unfazed. Continuing to enjoy their afternoon.

Geraldine turned to face them.

"Tell me where Conrad is! I have to get to him before—"
