Chapter 32: So you love me?

Looking at her action they laughed aloud but they also understood her actions as who did not want to grow stronger to survive now."I feel somehow stronger!" Kim said in amazement."Yup, It'll give you a small boost but let's continue our discussion," Jason said to steer them back to the topic.

"So the first thing I want to say is under no circumstances can we lay low and move to a safer place and try to live peacefully as the whole world will be undergoing a terrifying change and trying to stay low will be the stupidest thing we can do if we want to survive." the three of them had a thoughtful expression as they thought about this but they too could see that what he said was true as they would not only be fighting with zombies but with other human beings and animals too.

"So what are you suggesting?"Arya asked.

"We form a group of people who fight together to survive and also grow stronger," Jason told them his plan." But not anyone can enter our group only people compatible with us can".

Jason waited for their responses to this proposal of his.

"I have no problem unless we keep it a tight group," Harry said as he understood that it was necessary to have people who stand with you and fight alongside you to increase your chances of survivability.

"Me neither," Arya said after contemplating a bit.

"No problem until we keep the group strong" Kim also agreed.

"Okay now the last thing, we have to do raids every day to get essential items and grow stronger every day. This means we have to keep killing stronger zombies until we grow strong enough. And we will have to interact with different people to get information and goods we need."Jason said, finally ending the discussion.

"I do have a question though, how will we decide on a base of operation or gather enough food and the necessities."Kim could not help but ask as deciding the base of operation was very important. And as time goes on the food available to the world will become less and less as there is no one producing food, everyone will be busy surviving until one day they find there is no food left.

"For the food thing we can't do anything right now except hoarding enough for ourselves, and for a short time, there will be enough food as the human population will take a great hit so we don't need to care for food supply for now. And one thing else, the first rule of this apocalypse is to think for yourself and your group before anyone else. In the near future, we will have to find a way to grow crops and farm for other sources of food. " Jason said with enough emphasis in his voice as he wanted his group members the importance of this rule.

They could not afford to be wasteful with their resources until they had an overflow of resources. Kim was the kind of girl who was tough but was kind on the inside and she liked helping people but she also realized that you can't help people before helping yourself in his apocalypse.

The group made idle talk till they reached Aiden's school. Their phones had become obsolete as there was no signal in them so they will have to do the hard way by searching every corner of the school to find her. The bus smashed through the front gate of the school attracting a horde of zombies which were smashed away by the bus.

The bus wobbled as it smashed through a group of level two zombies. The level two zombies were bulkier and stronger than normal ones and they caused the condition of the bus to worsen.

"This bus can't hold for long" Harry voiced his thoughts. It was time they find a new bus as this one was on the brink of collapse.

"Drink it up" Jason tossed a new immunity shot to Kim as he had given one each to Arya and Harry before. He can not have his friends turning into zombies so sharing these shots was the only way.

"What's this " Kim asked as she looked at the test tube sized bottle which had a luminous liquid inside it. It looked quite magical when you looked closely at it.

"It prevents you from turning into a zombie from a zombie bite," Jason said with a smile on his face."But don't ask where I got this from just drink it up," Jason said with the same smile but his words were strong indicating Kim to drop the topic.

Kim stared at his smiling face for a while before chugging the liquid down her throat. Jason was becoming more enigmatic as time went by...

"Park in the bus stop, Arya and I will go find Aiden and you two will transport all the stuff from this bus to another one so that we have a better ride till we get the construction trucks," Jason commanded as he looked far away towards the playing field of this school. His sister would probably be near this place.

"Why do I have to the lifting work?" Harry said in a fake whining tone.

"Cuz you're weak as shit" Arya replied with a smirk.

"It's not fair I want powers too," Harry said with some longing mixed in his voice as he laughed to cover it up. He knew that he was the only one in this group who did not have powers and he did not want to become a burden to them so he had an idea to make himself useful. It would solve their problem of getting a new ride every now and then but it will have to wait till they reach the construction company.

The group separated at the parking as Kim and Harry started thinking of sorting things and starting to shift them to a new bus. But they would have to first find the guards' cabin to find a bus key.

"Contact us if you need us for anything" Jason reminded them to contact them through radio if they got into any trouble.

"Let's look near the playground first, I asked her to hide somewhere near and at that time she was there," Jason said as he and Arya went towards the playground.

When they got far from Kim and Harry Arya said something causing Jason to almost trip.
