Chapter 22: 22. Here we go again
Sam stepped towards the mountain of a man.
"I'm the leader here how far out is the cannibal horde" Sam asked knowing what the mans group was running from.
"We are from the apartments off of Grove Avenue so a few hours if they run straight here. We would like to join you in your defensive and join you if your not like the weirdos holding out at the Wallie World" The large man told Sam where they ran from and a tidbit of information on other survivor groups.
"Names Sam and we would be glad for the assistance" Sam said as he reached for a handshake.
"Hank" The man shook Sam's hand and squeezed, Sam replied in kind as sweat started to pool on Hanks forehead.
"Give I give, god damn your strong what job did you get" Hank held his hand that Sam had almost crushed. Sam rushed shoring up defenses as the now massive amount of undead and humans work together to survive the next trial being thrown at them.
Dagon drew attention as he lumbered through the gateway and settled near the HQ.
"I thought it was going to help bring us more construction materials" Tom stared at the giant tortoise.
"Do we even have time for it to make it there and back" Chris asked Tom who just shrugged and started to yell at skeletons moving cinderblocks.
"All we can do is sort out and assign the new comers and get the wall built a little more don't you have some recruiting to do" Sam told Chris tring to calm him down. Chris nodded and walked over to Vera and AJ.
"Sam we need you to make a decision on the wall" Tom called out for Sam.
"We can do as we originally planned with the wall or we can shorten it can most likely complete it" Tom asked Sam's opinion.
"Shorten it we can make a larger wall later on if we survive this new horde of cannibals" Sam told Tom as hs walked away to look for Truth. Wondering around the bustling camp as a notification sounded.

Waiting for the notice to finish Sam chose mage hoping that Sevrus would evolve into a lich later on. Still searching for Truth Sam found himself on the roof of the HQ building looking over all the progress the camp has made in the past 2 days.
"Chris said you were looking for me" Truth came up behind Sam and hugged him as they both took in the view.
"Amazing isn't it, how far we made it in just 2 days" Truth asked.
"Yeah the increase in strength and stamina from leveling up is a huge help but we still need more time" Sam complained about the constant assaults since the start of the Apocalypse.
"We will win just like we won the last time" Truth assured Sam as she kissed his cheek and walked away. 2 hours pass as night descends on the camp as makeshift fires are lit on the wall.
Sam is still on the roof as Chris and Jenna join him bringing a plate of stew and some bread.
"Truth said you'd be up here" Chris said as he handed over the plate.
"Thanks, how's everything on your end" Sam took the plate and replied.
"The order is now at 20 strong and I won't recruit anymore for now" Chris told Sam.
"We have a solid defense force for the wall. I'm training the archers as Joey trains the Mages" Jenna add on to Sam and Chris's conversation.
Sam starts to ask another question as he eats his food when Dagon roars out, shaking the entire camp.
"They are here bonded one" Dagon says to Sam as a warning bell starts to chime. Sam makes his way to the wall as he commands Bane and Sevrus to join him. Sam tells Dagon to head to the gate and reinforce it. Sam makes his way over to the scout that rang the bell.
"What are we looking at" Sam asked.
"Leader if you look towards the wooded area to the right" the scout replied to Sam. Looking towards that direction Sam could see figures running with torches towards the wall. As they got closer Sam could make out the silhouettes of cannibals chasing the people holding the torches.
"Please open up" a women screamed out as another torch was snuffed out.
"Sam what do you want to do" Chris asked as Jenna drew her bow and let loose a few arrows.
"Open the gate and let the survivors in, Dagon protect the gate" Sam yelled out as the gate was pulled up. Jenna kept firing arrows trying to save the people running but more and more survivors were caught and eaten as they ran for the gate. 10 survivors made it through as the first cannibal came into sight. It was larger then the cannibals thus far standing 7 feet tall and of a large fatty build. A green flame flew out and hit the Cannibal in the chest as it screamed out and burned to ash.
"Master we have arrived" Sevrus and Bane walked up to Sam and kneeled.
"Sevrus seems you have gotten an upgrade" Sam said impressed by the flame that consumed the cannibal.
"Master praises me" Sevrus says as his soul fire lite up brighter at Sam's complement.
"Sevrus take the army and defend the wall. Bane lead the awakened your with me" Sam commanded as the two skeleton generals obeyed. More cannibals made it to the wall as Sam ordered the gate shut causing a few of the people still out side to cry out and curse Sam. Chris turns to Vera who had brought the knights.
"Where do you want us" Chris asks Sam.
"Patrol the wall and help where your needed. Jenna make sure you have at least 1 mage with a group of archers" Sam told Jenna who nodded and left to find her brother. Truth ran up to Sam arm and ready as 3 females followed her.
"Who are they" Sam raises his eyebrow as he stares at the 3 females.
"I gained a skill called Shield Maidens, they are like my knights" She told Sam as she blushed and looked away.
"Right.. well your with me for now" Sam told Truth as 15 Awakened skeletons marched to Bane and formed up around Sam. A small group of people lead by Miranda and her father set up a camp not so close to the wall as a medic area. Hank lead a group of 4 to the gate as he held a massive 2 handed axe. Lily walked up to Sam with Grant behind her.
"So they came early" She said as she started to draw one of the new Cannibals.
