As the couple prepared to leave the gruesome scene behind, Daniel's keen eyes caught a glimpse of movement atop a nearby building.

He felt a twinge of annoyance that someone had dared to take a shot at him, interrupting their date. 

Turning his tall, imposing figure to face the source of the threat, he locked onto the hidden sniper's location.

His sharp eyes pierced through the distance, calculating the precise spot where the would-be assassin hid.

"Ah! I almost forgot about the sniper," he muttered to himself, his grip on Cecilia's hand never faltering.

He then turned to his beloved with a calm demeanour, despite the tense situation.

"Cecilia, can you wait here for a moment?" he requested, his voice unwavering.

Her response was filled with a mix of trust and affection, as she agreed without hesitation.
