Chapter 2: Favorite Drink
I have something to say.
Lan's favorite drink is surprisingly similar to mine. Kekeke. It was the carbonated milk from that vending machine near the first year building. I was walking down the hallway when I saw Lan choosing the carbonated milk in the vending machine, and he chooses my favorite! How cool is that!?
Then this morning I saw him buying that again! It was weird seeing that he likes milk but I'm going to buy it again later for snacks. Gosh, we shared the same beverages.
Although he's a senior and busy to their upcoming exams, going there to the first year building just to buy a drink means that it was his favorite beverage! That carbonated milk is only available in the freshmen building and I'm not sure why it's only in that machine.
Gosh, I can feel my cheeks reddening from the flush.
"An An..."
"Anja!"
Assie called onto me. My mind is in the Lala land again.
"You're daydreaming again!"
"Ha?"
"I'm asking what score did you get?"
"Same as yours," I said without really looking at my test score. Assie then grab it from my desk and scolded me.
"You! You got one of the highest scores!"
"What? No. I just got lucky--ouch!" I complained and look who hit me in the shoulder it was Kilda.
"Smart people don't have to complain." She said and sit next to my table. It was vacant the person who sat beside me was a gloomy girl who always quiet and somehow dark... her name is Mia but as always she's nowhere to find. She probably got out, since it was lunchtime.
"That hurt!"
"Huh! I wanted to smack you in the face! How can you be smart and also beautiful huh!?"
It's embarrassing to say it myself but I'm kinda beauty. But beauty comes in many forms, some beauty comes from confidence in how they hold themselves. Others were smart and elegant, the sweet kind, the virtuous kind. But there's also the kind of empty beauty.
That's what I got an empty beauty. Although I'm working hard every day, studying everyday T^T
I act like I was not studying but in reality, I got 3 different tutors in one subject called math. So that score that I got is something I should be proud of but here I am pretending that it was nothing.
I didn't even sleep last night T^T. I have to be cool in the eyes of expectant people.
