Chapter 19: Hospital

Getting ready for work was a lot. I got Juanita to get me work clothes. She is the only person I trust in my closet. I wore business casual pants and a shirt. Got some flats because my legs cannot handle heels today, I got my hair done and I was ready to go. Today is going to be a hard day.

I got to the car and Jahid was waiting for me there.

"Good morning ma'am?" he said, more like a question. He looked at me, my limping leg and he had worry written all over his face.

"Good morning Jahid," I say sliding into the car. Soon he gets in the car too and we take off. He wastes no time to start asking questions.

"What happened to your leg?" he asked, focused on the road.

"I cut it really bad when the window came crashing. Which reminds me I need you to get someone on that to fix it."

"Update me because I seem to be in the blue. I watched the conference. How are you feeling about that?"
