Chapter 129: Trial (1)

"Is there something you need?" Aurora asked when she came out of her room a few minutes after Vincent left and found Mari standing outside with a smile on her face. It was obvious Mari wanted to ask about Vincent's presence in her room.

"No no, I don't need anything. Did you have fun today?" Mari asked beating around the bush since she couldn't straight up ask Aurora her business between her and Vincent. They were growing close to each other these few days but there was a line between the two of them. Mari's excitement will soon make her cross that line.

"I did. Sorry, I left you alone for so long. Where did Jane go?" Aurora had been making herself so busy that there was hardly the need for Jane to be her bodyguard. There weren't any threats in Vincent's home as of right now. It is best if Jane continued to do her previous job and only be Aurora's bodyguard when she went out in public.
