I woke up to a beautiful sunrise which I watched from inside the cave. After lying there for a while, I got up and prepared to fly farther. I would stay here, but that little dragon would annoy me too much.
As I looked out of the cave, I noticed Tosaiss watching me closely from a nearby foothold next to the mouth of the cave.
[Hi] I said, returning his stare. Did he even go to sleep? He seems quite tired.
[Please tell me how to get stronger!] He eagerly asked. I didn't know how to help, and even if I did, I don't want to, so I replied with a concise [No] before flying up put of the cave. Much to my surprise, Tosaiss was trying to follow me, shouting something about never giving up... That's just sad. I'll put an end to this now.
I used a bit of mana to boost my own speed. I was already faster than Tosaiss, but now the difference was even larger. I rose rapidly, breaking through the clouds and continuing my flight north, hoping that not everybody in this world was an idiot.

It was almost noon, and I was high above a hilly forest with hardly any clouds. As I was watching the forest speed by, I noticed a monster flying directly towards me. It was a griffon, a powerful monster with the legs, body, and tail of a lion and the head, neck, and wings of an eagle.

Those stats are amazing for a griffon, the highest I've seen, he must have won many tough battles. Luckily, he is intelligent enough to acknowledge their own name, so they probably wont attack me. Thinking this, I slowed down and turned towards the rapidly approaching griffon.
[Lord dragon, what brings you to my territory?] they're being polite, I finally met somebody reasonable! As they are being so nice, I won't be rude either.
[I was just passing through, I apoligize if I disturbed you.]
[Oh! Please don't worry yourself, I would always make the effort to welcome people such as you to my territory. Is there any thing I can help you with?] is he scared of me? Well, that is reasonable considering my strength, but I wonder if dragons have a particularly bad reputation? He came over to me quite hurriedly.
[There is one thing, can you please tell me about the terrain north of here, as I am searching for a new place to live.] as soon as I said that, his expression turned grim. He definitely has some bad experiences with dragons. [I don't intend to take your land, and I'm planning on going even further north, so please tell me what you know.] I finished hurriedly, trying to keep him calm.
Seemingly noticing my intention, he said [Oh, please don't worry, it would be great to have someone like you living nearby!]
I'm getting more interested to hear what type of dragon he has encountered.
[I don't really know much about the north, but it's the same as anywhere on the west side of the continent - forests and mountains, but the terrain generally gets harsher and more dangerous the further you go. It also gets colder the more north you go.]
That's interesting. I wonder why it gets colder? That's another thing to put on my to-do list.
[Thank you very much for your information. I will be going now.]
[Have a nice journey!] Thornfeathers shouted to me as I swiftly flew north, out of his territory. I never ended up asking what gave him such a bad impression of dragons, I wonder if I'll find out soon?
